Most folks think that infinity pools are a recently invented feature found exclusively at exotic high-end resorts.
But this photo proves that Mother Nature was, in fact, the originator of the whole concept.
Heart Lake is a diminutive alpine tarn in northern California that offers amazing reflections of nearby Mt Shasta.
It's surprising to me that this isn't as popular among landscape photographers as more famous spots like Mesa Arch, Maroon Bells, Tunnel View, Antelope Canyon, or Zion's Watchman Bridge.
But it's not. And that means you won't face a scrum with a dozen other shutterbugs lined up tripod-to-tripod at sunset.

An infinity pool on the roof terrace of a hotel on the Canary Island of Tenerife, Spain. On the far right, you can still see a small part of the neighbouring island of La Gomera, but otherwise it's over 5,000 km to New York ;-)

Ein Infinity-Pool auf der Dachterrasse eines Hotels auf der kanarischen Insel Teneriffa/Spanien. Ganz rechts ist noch ein kleines Stück der Nachbarinsel La Gomera erkennbar, ansonsten sind es über 5.000 km nach New York ;-)
關島的喜來登飯店號稱5.5星級，在2007年才落成啟用，算是當地最新的飯店。雖然他離關島最熱鬧的市街很遠，並不在杜夢灣區，而是在南邊一點點的亞加納灣區，但是吸引我們選擇喜來登入住的原因並不是他的5.5星級，而是他的這片海天一線的"無邊際泳池"- Infinity Pool，以及在池畔無敵夢幻的"白色羽翼教堂"-White Arrow Chapel。
入住隔天一早起床後，老天給了個熱帶島嶼特有的舒暢藍天白雲，匆匆忙忙吃了早餐就往泳池跑，泡在這無邊無際的泳池裡，望著太平洋、望著藍天白雲，享受這空無一人的 Infinity pool，花上一整個早上就這樣飄在池裡、趴在池畔，人生啊~~~

A busy morning in the infinity pool at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
The Marina Bay Sands hotel has three 55-story towers with 2,561 luxury rooms and suites, and is capped by the Sands SkyPark, which offers 360-degree views of Singapore's skyline.

The apartment we were staying at had a rooftop infinity pool and I was able to position the camera to get a reflection in the pool.
