Its a challenge to see something new in a place you've visited several times. Luckily for me, Remlin spotted this,
Usually I look at the view but today the skies were hazy
I fell in love with the Sofitel el Gezirah Cairo and their stunning infinity pool. I seriously believe it’s one of the best and definitely most beautiful hotels in Cairo and I was very happy shooting there for Ladybirds June Issue.
This is my third shoot for Ladybirds June Issue. There was not much styling needed to this gorgeous pink beach cover-up Dress by Nillens and Beach Bag by Marsuma Designs. They complement one another and are both made in Egypt. I found some flowers during the shoot and slipped one into my hair, Voila :)
I’m loving all the new talented young Egyptian designers. I had already introduced to you the young Egyptian artist Nour Omar (founder of Marsuma Designs) when I was wearing her Marylin Monroe Converse shoes during Milan Fashionweek. Now the artist went one step further and is creating the most adorable bags and beach bags as well! Inspired by Van Gogh and Pop-art Marsuma Designs are 100 percent hand painted and hand made. Be sure to check out the Shoes as well, they’re amazing.
My family was just here visiting from Beirut last week and like any other tourists they were looking for pure Egyptian cotton bed sheets with high thread count. I immediately advised them to visit Nillens. Also founded by yet another young Egyptian designer. I love their designs and products ranging from Beachwear to fluffy gorgeous bed sheets :)

I could've sat and watched for hours every evening as the sun set over the infinity pool of the Paloma Club Sultan hotel. Unfortunately that would've meant missing dinner. I didn't actually do that but it's fair to say dinner was later than it might otherwise have been.......

It was a weird weather day. Warm bright sunshine punctuated by occasional periods of dense fog rolling off the sea.
I wish I'd had the presence of mind (or lack of presence of alcohol) to capitalize on the weird perspectives this infinity pool afforded.
Mo'orea (Tahitian pronunciation: \ˌmō-ō-ˈrā-ä, ˈmō-ō-ˌrā-\[2]) is a high island in French Polynesia, one of the Windward Islands, part of the Society Islands, 17 kilometres (11 mi) northwest of Tahiti. The true spelling of Mo'orea is Mo'ore'a, which means "yellow lizard" in Tahitian:

The Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa, at 3555 South Ocean Drive in Hollywood, was designed by Nichols Brosch Sandoval & Associates in 2002. The 39-floor, 1,000-room hotel building is the tallest in Broward County, reaching a height of 444-feet. The $800-million development also includes a 135-unit residential condominium, 250,000 sq. ft. convention center and a 60,000 sq. ft. shopping village.
Originally opened as the 750-room Diplomat Hotel in 1958 by Sam Friedland, founder of the Food Fair supermarket chain, the hotel quickly became popular with the celebrity class, hosting the likes of Dean Martin, Bob Hope and Lawrence Welk among others. In 1962, Saudi Arabian Sheik Mohammed Al-Fassi rented two floors at the Diplomat and was arrested after trying to skip out on a $1.4 million tab. In 1965, Senator Robert Kennedy, his wife Ethel, and his mother Rose Kennedy attended the John F. Kennedy Memorial Ball at the Diplomat. In 1966, Judy Garland played the hotel's Café Crystal, and in 1967 Sammy Davis, Jr. and Liza Minnelli hosted 3,200 people for their first joint concert.
A series of arson fires in 1983 forced the Diplomat to close for a year, undergoing $20 million in renovations. After reopening in 1984, it hosted President Ronald Reagan's address to the International Longshoremen's Association. Bob Hope performed at the hotel’s 1984 New Year’s Eve Gala. In 1987, Friedland's son-in-law Irving Cowan gave up control of the property to a consortium of labor union pension funds who bailed out the financially challenged hotel with a $44 million loan. Hired by the lenders, Harbaugh Hotels began renovating in 1988 and in 1991, it was sold to one of the lenders, Union Labor Life Insurance Co., closing again for renovation but never reopening.
In 1997, the United Association of Journeymen & Apprentices of the Plumbing & Pipe Fitting Industry of the US & Canada (UA) purchased the property and the following year imploded the building, hiring Coral Gables-based architectural firm, Nichols Brosch Sandoval & Associates, to design a new hotel, convention center and retail complex. In 2000, The Country Club at The Diplomat opened to the public with a Joe Lee-designed golf course, Pro Shops, Locker Rooms, 60-luxury guestrooms, 10-clay tennis courts, Grand Ballroom, The Royal Palm Room, The Links Grill and the Tack Room Lounge. That same year The Spa at The Diplomat opened to the public. In 2001, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide was appointed the management company for the property.
This couple didn't seem to be bothered by me taking photos of them in the infinity pool of the Paloma Club Sultan hotel, maybe because I wasn't the only person stood there with a camera. It seemed quite a few people came with their cameras to the pool on the way to the restaurant so I'm guessing there must be quite a few photos of this pool out there on the internet......

Sumilon Bluewater Island Resort is located on tranquil Sumilon Island. The Island remains as one of Cebu's best kept secrets and is found on the southeastern tip of the mainland. It is 125 kilometers from Cebu City and is in close proximity to Dumaguete. The island has an area of 24 hectares and is surrounded by crystal clear waters with varying aquamarine hues. It is the first marine protected area in the Philippines and was made a fish sanctuary in 1974 under the guidance of Siliman University Marine Reserve. During dives, one will find varied marine species and even occasional sightings of black tip sharks. Pristine white sand beaches are situated in different areas in Sumilon.
Its Sandbar is well known for its changing shapes and shifting locations around the island, depending on the season. On the island, there is a natural lagoon teeming with high mangroves. There are also natural caves where fishermen used to seek refuge. On the southside, a lighthouse rests on a protected tree park. Beside it is a “Baluarte”, a historical watchtower built as part of a warning system to thwart slavers and marauders in the 19th century.
