And the view was lovely this evening: Chilling on the terrace next to the pool, enjoying combination of the light from the candlelit lamp, the mellow glowing hot tub, and the shimmering moonlit water of the ocean. Somehow the combination just worked so well, it was worth this shot I took with my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Im not getting out much at the moment, so another re-edit im afraid, the last for a while though, I promise! This was view from my hotel room (although this is obviously ground level) at the resort I stayed at during my time in Borneo, I could have quite happily woken up to this view for the rest of my life, it truly was heaven on earth ♥

The Infinity Pool at Marina Bay Sands.
Do you think he could swim off the edge ?? Just wondering.......
Details of the Skypark:
The Sands SkyPark is an architectural masterpiece sitting on top of the three hotel towers at Marina Bay
Sands. This 1.2 hectare tropical oasis is longer than the Eiffel Tower is tall and large enough to park four-anda-
half A380 jumbo jets. It extends to form the one of the world’s largest public cantilevers.
• 200 meters in the sky
• Landscaped gardens are home to 250 trees and 650 plants
• 12,400 square meters of space big enough to fit three football fields
• Exclusive restaurants including The Sky on 57, helmed by Singapore’s celebrity chef Justin Quek
• A spectacular public observation deck that can host hundreds of people
• A 150-meter infinity swimming pool, the world’s largest outdoor pool at that height
The infinity pool at the Desert Islands Resort on Sir Bani Yas Island is one of those pools where you could spend an entire afternoon without getting bored. The pool was just the right temperature and sitting close to the edge watching the sunset and the sea in the distance was a perfect way to end the day. I just had to come out for a few minutes and capture the moment…

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island, Maldives
Our review of the hotel: www.travelplusstyle.com/hotels/conrad-maldives-rangali-is...
Recent visitors to my photostream may recognise this image of the infinity pool at the Paloma Club Sultan but I think this 'v2' is a vast improvement. The main difference is I've flipped the girl round so she's looking into the frame but more subtlety I've cropped it slightly and increased the contrast and saturation (the original upload was pretty much 'straight out of the camera').

I have to postpone the queue to upload some of the hotel reviews from my recent trips to Hong Kong and Taiwan, including a recent visit to one of my favourite hotels, The Ritz Carlton Pacific Place during this major holiday period; all because I could not wait to show off this spectacular resort that impresses me so much architecturally.
The Capella in Singapore is Asia's newest 6 star resort. It is the group's first debut in Asia, and also its flagship property. This is one of the hotels that I have been so eagerly-awaited to stay.
Initially, it was the Mandarin Oriental, Beijing that was supposed to be this year's most anticipated stay. Unfortunately, due to the major fire incident during the Chinese New Year, the hotel has been closed until further notice. Therefore, several hotels was handpicked for the occassion, including The Peninsula Hong Kong, which turned out to be quite disappointing and highly overrated.
The Capella, on the other hand, intrigues me alot from the start. It is one of those trophy projects that a nation could be proud of having. The key elements to this kind of project would be a spectacular location, groundbreaking design, team of award-winning architects and designers, a great hotel brand; and most importantly the right (and deep-pocketed) owners who share the same vision and eye on details that allows this dream to become a reality.
Capella has all of this. Owned by one of the most respectful firms in the industry, Pontiac Land, -which also owns The Ritz-Carlton Millenia, Conrad Centennial and The Regent; Capella has all the budget it needs to become one of Asia's most spectacular hotels, where no expense have been spared and no details have been overlooked....

Among the most amazing infinity pools in the world, overlooking Lake Manyara and the great rift valley.
Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, Thailand.

A photo taken from the Miki Miki bar at le Meriden hotel in Bora Bora. The water and air temperatures are always in the mid to high 80’s and there is always a 10 mph tropical breeze. The unspoiled waters have an abundance of turtles and tropical fish. Easily the most amazing and tranquil place in the world, we are already thinking about another trip in 2014.
Another panorama from the infinity pool of the Paloma Club Sultan Hotel in Odzere, Turkey. Normally people taking photos around swimming pools are viewed with suspicion but that wasn't the case here as everyone was at it.
When I first took up photography I thought my ideal job would be travelling from hotel to hotel photographing the properties for holiday brochures. I think that may still be the case...... Maybe I should approach the hotel to see if they might be willing to exchange some photos for a weeks stay next year......

Once you are at the Dead Sea, it would be a travesty to miss a spa treatment to pamper yourself. Whether you cake yourself with some black Dead Sea clay and do 'the float' or opt for a top notch (and top dollar) spa experience you will leave feeling awesome. After all, it is a once in a lifetime experience.
Jordan has a pleasant surprise for you waiting around every corner - stylish chic & cool Amman, the best preserved Roman city (Jerash) with a gladiator show, Islamic hedonism in desert citadels, floating on the Dead sea caked in black mud followed by champagne breakfast, crazy mosaics, huge crusader castles, the dramatic reveal of the Treasury in candlelight @ Petra by night and/but the mesmerizing mysterious Monastery around the mountain peak being the true highlight of Petra ... As they say, if you like what you see, look a little further and you might get more!
