I bought this pattern on Ravelry for $6.Summer Wind by Irish Girlie Designs It uses 4 ply/fingering weight yarn so I used Fyberspates Scrumptious 4ply and although it took aaaaages to knit up, it's so soft and drapey and beautiful that I'm really glad I did it.
The distinctive curve of the footbridge arches create a unique reflection in the River Tees forming the mathematical symbol for infinity and lending itself to the name.

my dad is a math teacher, and his calculus students brought this onion ring to him because they say it's shaped like an infinity symbol. originally they wanted to dry it and then apparently put it on display (i know... teenagers...) but i told him i would take a picture of it, matte and frame it, and he could hang it in his room. voila :)
