The bench outside of Target. I took tons of photos today, but I kept coming back to this one.
This is my photo for January 10, 2009.
An incredibly still end to a cold, crisp December day gave wonderful reflections and beautiful colours in the sky to frame Stockton's Infinity Bridge.

Another from my visit to infinity bridge from this angle i did have most of the bridge in but the street lights were off along the path so couldn't use the light starburst that i wanted.

On my way to the parking garage, I entered this really neat elevator with mirrors on all sides. Took a quick self-portrait. Wish I had more time in the elevator but security would've got to me. There is a video camera in this elevator. I like how the mirrors make it look like a hallway.
And the object can be a little monster, with the head of a lion and the body of a dolphin. The latter would coil, the former gnash its fangs. It could adorn an entrance or simply burst out of a wall without any apparent purpose, the absence of which would make it oddly recognizable. In a certain line of work, and at a certain age, nothing is more recognizable than a lack of purpose. The same goes for a fusion of two or more traits or properties, not to mention genders. On the whole, all these nightmarish creatures---dragons, gargoyles, basilisks, female-breasted sphinxes, winged lions, Cerberuses, Minotaurs, centaurs, chimeras---that come to us from mythology (which, by rights, should have the status of classical surrealism) are our self-portraits, in the sense that they denote the species' genetic memory of evolution. Small wonder that here, in this city sprung from water, they abound.

В общем, все эти бредовые существа – драконы, горгульи, василиски, женогрудые сфинксы, крылатые львы, церберы, минотавры, кентавры, химеры, – пришедшие к нам из мифологии (заслужившей звание классического сюрреализма), суть наши автопортреты, в том смысле, что в них выражается генетическая память вида об эволюции. Неудивительно их изобилие здесь, в этом городе, всплывшем из воды.
