The Fire God Taoist Temple (Huode Zhenjun Temple) dates back to the 7th century Tang Dynasty during the reign of Emperor Taizong but has been renovated/rebuilt several times. it lay abandoned for many years, surrounded by many small buildings. in recent years these were cleared and the temple restored. The Fire God, a Taoist deity, is enshrined in the central hall.
It is located on Dianmen Wai Dajie on the north bank of the Jade River (yuhe) next to Qianhai Lake of Shichahai.
Tokyo, Japan
This is a temple which houses a seating figure of Yakushi Nyorai (Physician of Souls). In 1649 it was reconstructed near a bridge, since then it has been called Hashimoto Yakusi-do: a Yakushi Nyorai temple of worship at the foot of a bridge.
This temple was built in the precincts of Sensoji temple following Niten mon gate (important national cultural asset), and Rokkaku-DO temple (metropolitan tangible cultural asset), and of the same era as Asakusa Shrine (important national cultural asset).
Last week or so Miss P and I made an attempt to go apple picking in Willcox. She is not a fan of car rides, and it turned out to be a bit of a haul for her, so we made a pitstop at "The Thing?" in Texas Canyon for DQs before turning it around to head home to Tucson.
We browsed through the souvenir shop and I bought P a sack of magnet rocks and finally, after years and years of coveting one (just L@@K at that box!), shelled out the $8 for an Incense of the West piñon incense burner.
This is a hand etched wine bottle incense burner. I hand etched the bottle using a Dremel tool. If you want to see more click on the Etsy link on my home page.
This is someone from my tour group. She was lighting some incense. This was a meaningful moment for many of us. Daoists gather at the front of Baiyunguan and light incense as an offering. Baiyuguan, called White Cloud Temple in English, is over 1,200 years old and stands the south west of Beijing, China. White Cloud Temple is the largest Daoist structure in Beijing and home of the Dragon Gate sect of Daoism. All of us from our Feng Shui tour group did this custom too. I loved visiting this temple. It was so full of spiritual energy.

Jingci Temple (Chinese: 净慈寺) is located at the foot of Huiri Peak of Nanping Hill. It is the second prominent Buddhist temple around West Lake. Together with Lingyin Temple, it is called the jewel of the southern and northern hills. The temple was claimed as a national key Buddhist temple in Han's area by state council in 1983.
