Today my son learned how to say, " I'm Sorry" in sign language. It is taking the letter A and placing it over your heart using a circular motion. There was no reason why he had to say sorry, he was just showing me what he learned in school.

Thing is I loved this chandelier in this setting....and, I know it, my photostream often shows my pedantry. I am hoping that flickr friends will forgive me......
Neptune and his wives in the midst of revelry
I grew up around here. spent hours fantasizing about being a part of the underwater immortal community. I swear I'm going to make it back to where I belong. get back goodman, get back.

Happy Holiday Season to all my Flickr Fiends - you know who you are! (and yes, I mean Fiends!).
Here is The Official Hong Kong Christmas tree in Central, flanked by two of my favourite Hong Kong buildings, all perfectly framed by a beautifully clear winter sky.
All shot with my magic new little Lumix LX3 (a nice little Christmas present to ME!)
I miss my little brother. It's been so long since I've seen him. He's only 6. I missed his birthday, but I'm not missing Christmas. I'm making a special stop to see him on Christmas Day to deliver his Christmas presents and give him a big and tell him i'm sorry for leaving and that I miss him.
I really do miss my brother.
I don't want him to forget me.
And then I think... Maybe he's better off without me...

As a proud film user, I'm utterly utterly ashamed to say that I actually enjoy using the D1H. Yes, I know it's a centuries-old digital camera that weighs slightly less than a family sedan, but dammit it's actually nigh on fun to use!
May as well just go shoot myself.
Also this is at ISO 800, I retract any and all negative comments about this camera's noise handling.
Also because it's so big I was able to shoot this at 1/15 when the rule of thumb would say 1/50.

I don't remember what happened during Popsicle time, but it got an "I'm Sorry" out of Becks. Cooper didn't stop eating the popsicle for a second, so I'm assuming he wasn't to broken up by the incident.

today's been a relatively good day,
besides my phone still not working...
which stresses me out a lot.
but aside from that, things are pretty good.
so nothing in my life really inspired this.
the idea just kind of popped into my head.
i had another idea too but i'm saving that one for a rainy day. <3

instead of trying to kill myself with black friday traffic, i stayed asleep until about 10:30 when Cory called and asked if i wanted to go meet up with her aunt and uncle before we do the photoshoot at 1. I said okay. I got up, set up two backdrops and got all the props ready. I figured the baby would fuss and we had to make the shoot go by pretty quickly to get some decent shots. i decided on 1ish because the light coming through my sliding glass door windows would be awesome natural light for the baby. Well I was right, BUT we didnt come back to my place until after 4 because her aunt and uncle were awesome! and cory rarely ever gets to see them, let along spend the day with them. We did manage to do the shoot, but Keira was cranky because she was hungry and started pooping. lol but anyways sorry for being so late and MIA. its been a long week. and its going to be even more hectic with finals just around the corner. >.<
project 365: day 179
Neptune and his wives in the midst of revelry. I've been fascinated with this place my whole life. Maybe it's because I identify with the amorous activities.
Having just enjoyed a nice cruise on the Waverley, I was hoping to get some nice pictures looking back towards the bow with the setting sun casting a nice colour cast onto it...
I had completely failed to get any pictures of her coming in earlier as the jetty was behind some locked doors, and even a friendly chat with a security guy had failed. He said he wasn't allowed to let anyone down there alone due to insurance. Fair enough point I guess. Not to worry, I'll get some when we come back in I think.
So I made sure I was quick to get off and walked along the jelly. There was one of those portable free standing fences (the 3 foot high ones) half way across the jetty, but several sections in my path were not in place, so I continued to walk.
A woman runs up from behind and calls to me, I think "She just thinks I'm a lost passenger who doesn't know the way to the exit"... So I walk back to her to explain I just wanted to get a different vantage point for a picture. "No, I'm sorry" she says as she walks away. "It won't take me 10 seconds" I say to the back of her head.
"I'm sorry" is the only reply as she grabs the misplaced bits of barrier and starts pulling them across. I grabbed this shot and got another shouted "I'm sorry", I had to move at this point or be hit by the barrier she was moving.
She then walks away and starts laughing and joking with a member of the crew on the jetty, this was the only sign she was anyone official! I had looked at her for sign of ID for the 2 seconds she was actually facing me, and there was nothing. Jeans, casual jacket with a yellow "I support something" bow on it (see other picture)... I would have argued my point a little more but it's very hard having a conversation with someone who is
1) Not listening
2) Just says "I'm sorry"
3) Makes no eye contact and walks away!
Given that the Waverley cruise does actually make a point of saying "Don't forget to bring you camera!", this kind of behaviour was a bit off... So with no ID on this jeans wearing moaner of the words "I'm sorry", I thought I'd better make sure I have some identification for the complaint letter I'm going to send to Waverley excursions...
SOOO A: I'm sorry I've been failing at posting. This weekend/monday was...different. There were a lot of super hectic things, including some stuff that could have potentially changed my life.
But over all life is well and back to normal, thank god.
But I owe a lot of peoples apologies. I owe my brother a big apology for letting stupid shit happen on his birthday.
And, I owe some other people apologies but I don't want to get into that. The one thing I do want to say is that one of the people who I want to say sorry to probably wont see this...but they do deserve a giant I'M SORRY.
(edit: I retract that apology...except not really)
(edit: I totally DO retract that apology. asshole.)
anyhow! Life moves on. and now i'm all caught up and I can't believe I'm already on day 20. oofda.
14th January - 20th January 2013
I look at you and see a friend
I hope that's what you wanna be
Are we back now where
it all began?
Have you finally forgiven me?
This week has been difficult, but manageable. I spent more time on recreation than I normally do. I read two novels and played a couple of video games. I've also been watching a fair few nature documentaries. It's been snowing a hell of a lot for this country this week as well; Britain usually only gets a dusting of icing sugar for a day or so.
revisited...
promise, i will soon be doing some new ones... the good news, got a job, starting on monday.... so, i am a bit happier now.... weeeee :)
What do you get when you have two pictures that you just can't choose between? A DIPTYCH...FTW.
Happy HDT!
For FGR - Backs.
I love backs. The end.
don't need to feel the pain
don't need to cry...please...
give me some silence
one chance to fly
to my lover
New York City is great. Dead smack in the middle of Times Square were these two young dudes expressing their opinion on the Video Music Award incident in which Kayne West interrupted Taylor Swifts acceptance speech to tell her and the world that he felt the award should have been given to Beyonce. They were doing "damage control" and promoting their label as well, Good Sounds.
