I am glad I took the theatre class "Movement and Improvisation" during my last semester in college. It was a very different and enriching experience and a revealing process. Here some of my classmates are doing a group project that involves the technique "Evolving sculptural forms."
I watched this purple gallinule trying to fish for a fireflag bloom. But, when it realized the bud was under water, it jumped into the water and swam in a circle a few times carefully (first shot) holding up its wings and tail so they didn't get wet. Then the gallinule tried to eat it from below (second shot). He was unsuccessful and jumped back up into the fireflags and disappeared. I liked how the bird kept its wings and tail lifted out of the water.
The video cameras weren't made to fit on tripods (and I didn't have a tripod handy). Students made it work.
