A short service of prayer, bible reading and hymn singing was held in the Church tent each morning and towards the end of the afternoon. On Thursday morning we had a communion service.

From improvised shields decorated with the front covers of books, to a mosaic-tiled pickup truck, August’s Friday Late took inspiration from the V&A’s Disobedient Objects exhibition. Visitors joined us for the night to explore the arts of social rebellion and strategies for change.
A variation on yesterday's image, a hybrid work with color fills added to a scanned watercolor image. The color of the fills are derived from the ultramarine blue of the captured image. It might be interesting to recreate them with watercolor; however, mathematical processing of color does not necessarily offer the perceptual and cognitive effects that artists have long created intuitively.
I used Xrite's Colorchecker Passport calibration cards and software to get the blue "as exact as possible" without manual correction. It gets you in the ballpark, but at least in this case was not an exact reproduction—something that is definitely possible with the right printer, a calibrated workflow, and some careful manual tweaking. Note that both precise white balance and an accurate camera profile are necessary to make this particular approach to color reproduction work.

Liz feels a moment of improvisation during the routine in her modern class. Although the teacher had a routine, she did not use counts and encouraged the students to dance how they felt in the moment.

Made an improvised copy stand to photograph Vanessa's paintings and drawings for portfolio use.

One could see all kinds of things used from time to time, though in this area wood poles was the most common ones.
Found in a forest in Leksand Municipality in Dalarna, Sweden, while working for the land office (Lantmäteriet).
