It was a very stormy day and I took a walk with my camera. I like the atmosphere when a storm is arriving and came past a little chapel.
next destination was downwards to lijiang. touristy, expensive but nevertheless a very beautiful place.
the famous outdoor cultural show designed by zhang yimou. just at the foot of jade dragon snow mountain. different ethnic groups and people groups perform and showcase the character of the group.
was quite interesting and and i left the show understanding that i never understood the chinese culture and its people. there are so many people groups and numerous ethnicity within the chinese and everyone is so different.
like how people say that china is really a planet on its own.
taking pictures the other night, I was left with the very clear impression of one calm & joyful couple; quite wonderful.

Was inspired by william neill, impression of light, Rather than doing it in landscape, tried it last week in Cordova's Dinagat Festival, the colors, textures and motion blend together as perfect ingredients.

With the severe weather warning in place we dined in the spacious dining room. A more than slightly depressing scene from our table though the lunch was delicious as usual.

Impression Lijiang - a magnificant outdoor production held on a huge man-made stage at the foot of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. About 500 amateur performers from 10 ethnic minority groups selected from some 16 towns and villages around Lijiang took part in this production by acclaimed Chinese director Zhang Yimou.
