Nube que se formo a mis espaldas mientras esperaba la puesta de sol en el punto mas alto de Santiago del Teide, en el camino a Masca, Tenerife
out of the hotel room, into the marsh. It was frozen over and I ran barefoot across it and it broke like glass, cutting my feet to pieces. But it was nice. hopping between the camera and sitting in a puddle and being alone in a big marsh in the middle of nowhere tossing your hair and throwing marshwater on your face. lovely holiday.

This is another shot from my time with the Nikon 40mm macro. I had a good amount of luck with that lens, and have been getting back in the groove of timing all this again. Doing all this manually has got me wanting a trigger setup really bad. It is rewarding catching moments like this all by hand though. Please let me know what you all think as any suggestions or comments are welcomed and appreciated. Enjoy!
Built in the 1970s, Scott Towers was a high-rise apartment tower built for low-rent occupancy of senior citizens. It was a landmark that everyone in Greenville recognized.
It had seen its best days, and the owners had decided rather than spend $100 million to renovate it, they would just demolish the building.
The demolishion was scheduled for 9:30 am on Sunday, January 13, 2014. So I picked the best vantage point available to me just outside the safety zone of 600 feet.
Everything went as scheduled with 7 seconds of initial blasting to weaken the structure, then much larger blasts to bring it down. Quite a sight...
I wasted a few cups of coffee and I am not overly pleased with the picture but had a blast experimenting!

Revisiting my Glass Series this weekend. This series has constantly received a steady stream of views, comments and favorites, more so than any other series of pictures I've taken. I have some really cool new stuff!

The Lowry Avenue Bridge, originally constructed in 1905, has been a major route of transport for the people of the Minneapolis area for many years. My mother, who grew up very close to the area, remembers when the bridge was rebuilt in the 1950's. This morning, she took me to the site to watch the implosion. The bridge was deemed unsafe and has not been open since August of 2008. The bridge will be replaced by 2011 with $10 million worth of stimulus money.
