El Servicio Nacional de Capacitación y Empleo SENCE de Chile y el Servicio Ecuatoriano de Capacitación Profesional, realizaron la entrega de certificados de aprobación a los ciudadanos chonenses que cursaron los cursos implementados en el marco del proyecto denominado Desarrollo y capacitación de habilidades personales y laborales de los grupos de atención prioritaria del Ecuador.
Esta serie de capacitaciones que duraron aproximadamente un año, se ejecutaron con el objetivo de aportar a la reactivación económica de las zonas afectada por el terremoto del 16 de abril de 2016.
La ceremonia especial tuvo lugar en la Plaza Sucre, este jueves 09 de agosto desde las 9h30; y contó con la participación de la delegación del SENCE, quienes entregaron de manera oficial los certificados a los participantes de cursos y programas especializados en áreas como Cocina nacional, Buenas prácticas de manufactura, Creación de emprendimientos, Elaboración de productos lácteos, entre otras.
La modalidad de estas capacitaciones fue planteada desde la experiencia chilena, en las ciudades de Pedernales, Atacames, Manta, Portoviejo, Bahía de Caráquez y Chone.
En Chone se graduaron 20 emprendedores que ampliarán paulatinamente el alcance del beneficio que estos cursos representan para ellos, ya que se han constituido en grupos micro empresariales, y además recibieron equipos de trabajo para desarrollar sus productos, incentivo económico que les permitirá cumplir con el objetivo de reactivar la economía local y proyectarse a mercados mucho más amplios.
El alcalde de Chone, quien participó del evento manifestó: El aporte externo para la reactivación económica post terremoto, es innegable, dos años después de la tragedia, vemos los frutos de proyectos como el implementado por el Servicio Ecuatoriano De Capacitación Profesional y el Servicio Nacional de Capacitación y Empleo -SENCE- de Chile. Como les manifesté al recibirlos en el despacho de la alcaldía -hace un año- nos complace recibir el aporte vuestro, nos enorgullece saber que este año de capacitación redundará a favor de Chone.
Una vez finalizada la ceremonia, la ciudadanía en general visitó la feria de emprendimientos en la que los participantes de estos programas, expusieron sus productos y servicios con la garantía de calidad y calidez obtenida a través de los diferentes procesos de capacitación desarrollados en territorio.

A formation like the YFE does not represent the cause of equality, rather they represent a casteist, elitist, pro-privatization, anti-woman, and ami-democratic cause. The cause of the deprived people of our country can only be fought with a holistic perspective for ju~tice and equality. In our campus, it is not a coincidence that the organizations, which joined the agitation for financial assistance for needy students, were all also pre-reservation. The JNUSUs in the early 70's that fought for the institution of the Merit-cum-Means scholarships were also the unions that were committed to ensuring that instead of becoming an elite center of higher education, JNU draws the best of students from under-privileged socio-economic backgrounds from all over the country. In 1974, when Com. Prakash Karat was the JNUSU President, the union ensured that a 20% reservation for scheduled castes and tribes is adopted as part of the admission policy long before the move to initiate implementation of the tv1andal Commission Recommendations was initiated by the Union government. It was the same union that ensured that the MC!v1 amount is increased from Rs 85/-per month to Rs 110/-per month and is awarded for 12 months in a year instead of 10. More recent]y, the SFl-AlSF led union in 1998-99 ensured through a successful agitation that the MCM was doubled to Rs.600/-p.m. for MA students and to Rs.300/-for BA students. The same JNUSU also ensured that a scholarship of Rs.2000/-per month was given to science school students for a year upon the withdrawal of the Science School Fellowship by the UGC. The SF I-A ISF led JNUSU in 2004 ensured that the MCM for BA students was brought at par w'ith MA students and an MCM of Rs.600/-p.m. was also instituted for M.Phi\ students. Today the JNUSU on the initiative of the SFl-AlSF has ensured a substantial increase in MCM atnount to Rs.l500/-p.m. for M.Phii/Ph.D students and Rs.l 000/-p.m. for BA/ MA students. .
The refusal by the YFE to join such an agitation ultimately betrays their false claim to be in favour of the poor. They only have an anti-reservation agenda, which they are ironically trying to justify in the name of(In) Equality. We appeal to all democratic minded students of JNU to ensure that a reactionary formation like the YFE is isolated among the student community and the socially .

implementation of NDCs in Mediterranean countries Plenary Session 1
This session will be an introductory session to the Sixth Mediterranean Forest Week and present the current situation regarding the role of Mediterranean forests in global commitments (including targets on LDN and Aichi targets) and the role of LULUCF in implementing the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) of the Mediterranean countries.
Using a concrete example, this session will show how the three Rio Conventions can be complementary
The Ministry of Agriculture, in collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), is hosting the Sixth edition of the Mediterranean Forest Week (VIth MWF) at the Grand Hills Hotel, Broumana, on 1–5 April 2019. The weeklong event brings together policy and decision makers, forest administrators, researchers, practitioners, donors, civil society organizations, and social and environmental based non–governmental organizations to share and promote the use of forest–based solutions to assist Mediterranean countries in the implementation of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.

The Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) in collaboration with UNEP and ITU hosted a workshop on Extended Producer Responsibility guidelines and regulations for e-waste management in Rwanda.
The two-day workshop brought together representatives from government and development partners to discuss implementation of Rwanda’s e-waste regulations, Extended Producer Responsibility guidelines and the role of digital solutions that could be utilised to address e-waste challenges that pose severe dangers to the environment and people's health.

Getting Ahead of Autonomous Vehicles — Carbon, Congestion, Energy and Policy
Autonomous vehicles are coming yet there are vastly different projections regarding the energy and carbon impacts. Some projections show 90% energy savings while others project 200% increase in energy consumption. It all depends on the policy frameworks set up now. Should all autonomous vehicles be electric? How will autonomous vehicles interact with the grid and how will they change the scaling of renewables? Should they be shared? Should we implement AV speed limits? These are just some of the questions that have yet to be answered. Join us as we dive into a lively discussion and workshop to start to build a policy framework across sectors.

Prosperidad Social entregó implementos para el montaje de unidades de producción de alimentos a 577 hogares participantes de Familias en su Tierra, en Sucre, este jueves. Con este programa la entidad atiende a hogares víctima del conflicto armado, que han sido retornados o reubicados: los apoya para lograr la estabilización socioeconómica.
Los participantes recibieron elementos para la implementación de huertas verticales y horizontales: bolsillos de fieltro, bandejas de germinación, sustrato, herramientas de jardinería, tanque para almacenamiento de agua, semillas, filtros para agua, manguera y polisombra, entre otros elementos. La entrega se realizó en los corregimientos Santiago Apóstol y La Ventura, del municipio San Benito Abad.
En Sucre hay 577 hogares beneficiarios del programa. Todos están en estos corregimientos de San Benito Abad. Cielo Rusinque, directora de Prosperidad Social, participó en la entrega de Santiago Apóstol. “Somos conscientes de que son muchas más las necesidades del corregimiento. Ustedes han sido víctimas de desplazamiento, han sido vulneradas en sus derechos y han vivido en carne propia la violencia que trae consigo un país en conflicto. Son prioridad en un gobierno que le apuesta a la Paz Total. Y la Paz Total empieza por la justicia social”, dijo.
Los elementos entregados corresponden a un kit para la implementación de una unidad de producción para autoconsumo (UPA). Con esto la entidad busca mejorar el acceso y el consumo de alimentos. Ofrece a las personas capacidades para el manejo de las huertas caseras y promueve hábitos alimentarios saludables. Las entregas responden a la disposición y condiciones del espacio, que la entidad verifica previamente en las visitas domiciliarias a los hogares.
Familias en su Tierra brinda actividades de formación, acompañamiento técnico e incentivos en especie y monetarios. Fortalece capacidades para la integración social y comunitaria y la seguridad alimentaria, mejora las condiciones de la vivienda y genera o fortalece proyectos productivos.
Sucre es uno de los departamentos que Prosperidad Social atiende actualmente con el programa. Hace parte de la zona 1 de la novena intervención de Familias en su Tierra. Los otros departamentos de la zona son Bolívar, Córdoba, Magdalena, Norte de Santander y Santander. Esta primera fase de entregas beneficiará a 11.770 hogares en los seis departamentos.

Após a adesão à Onda Roxa, imposta pelo governo estadual para todas as cidades de Minas Gerais, a Patrulha Pacto pela Vida implementou novas ações para reforçar o trabalho de conscientização e fiscalização nas ruas de Contagem. A partir de agora, viaturas estão circulando pela cidade com gravações alertando a população para que adote as medidas sanitárias e siga as novas restrições.
Além disso, a equipe da patrulha está sendo acompanhada por 16 mobilizadores sociais. Eles estão atuando em pontos de ônibus e nos corredores comerciais, ajudando a orientar pedestres e lojistas durante o dia. A equipe também conta com quatro termômetros, utilizados para aferir a temperatura das pessoas.
Na quarta-feira (17/03), toda essa equipe, incluindo a Guarda Civil, Polícia Militar e fiscais municipais, atuaram na regional Eldorado, especialmente na avenida João César de Oliveira, um dos principais centros comerciais da cidade. Na quinta-feira (18/03), a equipe percorreu toda a avenida VP1 e proximidades, na regional Nova Contagem.
Segundo o coordenador de Mobilização, Gilvan Batista, o trabalho de conscientização é um importante aliado da fiscalização, dada a gravidade da situação. “ Faço questão de informar os indicadores epidemiológicos. Hoje, a cidade chegou a marca de 99% de taxa de ocupação leitos UTI covid. É um dado que nos causa muita tristeza. Por isso, estamos informando e pedindo, incansavelmente, a colaboração da população”, ressaltou.
Para o comandante da Guarda Civil de Contagem, a patrulha está na rua para garantir que as pessoas cumpram de fato as novas medidas restritivas impostas pela Onda Roxa. “Percebemos que alguns comerciantes, após a passagem da Guarda, reabrem o comércio não essencial, sobretudo na avenida João César. Isso vem gerando bastante denúncia. Vamos trabalhar para coibir esse tipo de conduta e conter o avanço da covid-19”, reafirmou.

Baghdad, 08 March 2018 – On the second day of the high level conference on the implementation of Iraq National Action Plan (INAP) on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security in Iraq the Ministerial follow up teams evaluated the process of implementation and monitoring of the INAP 1325.
Governors and representatives from Women’s Departments at the Provincials Councils shared their views from the situation on local level. Participants were addressed by Dr. Mahdi Al Alaq, Secretary General of the Council of Ministers and Chair of the Cross Sector Task Force 1325 and Dr. Ibtisam Aziz, Director General of the Iraqi Women Empowerment Department of the Council of Ministers.
The high level conference has been held under the patronage of H.E. Prime Minister of Iraq and is supported by the United Nations, UN Women, the British Embassy in Iraq and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
