This is again part of the Vattenfall Power Station, this is a little further the river from...
The place is as I said, big and very complex, the engineering that goes into such places is eyebrow raising to say the least. But more noticeable was the various lights, it actually took me a few attempts to get this shot as there was a small car driving around the place, so I was getting impartial trails, finally it parked up and decided to be still. I am assuming these lights are colour coded in some fashion but hey, I don't work there, I just love these places, but of course nothing compares to the massive plants in places such as America and Russia.
I hope everyone is well, my toe is still messed up but as always, thank you! :)

THE WORLD
where you and I belong too. ☺
Where we should take care off, because (for now) we only have one.
THE ANGEL
The word “angel” actually comes from the Greek word aggelos, which means “messenger.”
No....I'm not pretending to be an angel...I just got these wings from my inventory 👅
THE MESSAGE
Together we can change the world,
just one random act of kindness at a time.

When the grapes are ready, the maiden climbs up to this perch above the shores of Manarola, displaying the best of the crop and everyone knows it's time to begin the harvest! You may try to pick the exact time but only the maiden knows for sure ... and that is a proven fact ... so say the locals :)
This view is unique as one has to travel from Vernazza to Manarola up the mountain and along the coast ... but what a walk :)
She is called La Donna dell'Uva and represents that Manarola has the sweetest grapes in the region and therefore the best wine ... you may have to go there to be an impartial judge :)

The day before midsummer, the queen bee used to fly the enormous distance to a far-off ocean. She plunged to its depths in search of the rare sea flower: Neptune’s Clover. No other bee in all history could accomplish such a feat. For two thousand years, this same queen had gathered the rejuvenating and curative pollen from Neptune’s Clover.
As the days rolled on, the queen still had not returned. The colony was besides itself in worry and set forth to find her. They all latched their feet onto the hive, which was as large as a hill, and flapped their wings for lift off. When finally, they arrived to what they believed to be the area of Neptune’s Clover, their exhausted wings failed. The queen bee was nowhere to be seen. The hive, heavy with honey, and all its pilots fell into the sea. The two-thousand-year-old colony perished on a beautiful, calm afternoon, beneath the impartial waves.
Nowadays, bees might construct their hives in the nooks and crannies of human architecture. Unbeknownst to the people, their floating civilization is built right over the site of the sunken hive. Perhaps the bees of this century instinctively feel its presence, and so we find them in profusion adding their honeycombs to the present architecture.
… and an impartial judge. Duck pond saga – take 2.
The Royal Victoria Park pond, known as Fish pond, but often called Duck pond due to abundance of ducks, mostly Mallards. It has been drained out over summer due to problems with water supply and leaks in pond liners.
The pond exists since 1830 when this area was opened as a free public space by Princess Victoria. The main idea was to increase visitor attraction to Bath and boost local economy. The principal layout of the park as we know was designed by Edward Davies and included a pond marked on an old map as ‘lake’. The lake had elliptical shape but problems with water supply and keep clean were constantly reported by the Park Committee – basically, very similar to today’s problems but for different reasons. The help from the landscape gardener Edward Milner was sought in 1878, and the new pond had a highly irregular shape, an island and the bridge - as we now know it today.
Georgian Springs supplied water to the pond for nearly 200 years creating a unique pond ecosystem. As mentioned in previous pose the Springs were rerouted. According to the Council website. the current problem is to find an appropriate water supply to minimise negative impact on this ecosystem. The current plan is to restore the pond in 2027. Well, it ought to be seen. In the meantime, the water level here entirely depends on rainfall. Royal Victoria Park, Bath, BANES, England, UK.

Two roads diverged in a yellow forest,
and heartbroken that I couldn't walk both
being a single traveler, I was on my feet for a long time
looking at one of them as far as I could,
to where she was lost in the undergrowth.
So I took the other, impartially,
and having perhaps made the right choice,
for it was bushy and pleasant to walk on;
although as for what I saw there
i would have chosen either one.
And both that morning lay equally,
oh, I had saved that first one for another day!
even knowing the inexorable way things go on,
i wondered if I should have retraced my steps.
I must be saying this with a sigh
that somewhere gets old and makes you grow old,
two roads diverged in a forest and I,
i took the less walked,
and that has made all the difference.

Muiderslot (Amsterdam Castle), Muiden, Netherlands
Having been to dozens of castles, Muiderslot is easily within my top ten. As you can see, it's much like what you may have drawn as a child; square in layout, surrounded by a moat with towers on each corner and colorful flags flying in the breeze. And it makes for a fun, interesting and easy visit. A Fairy Tale Castle.
Of course, no real castle was ever built with a fairy tale in mind (sorry not sorry, Ludwig II's "castles" in Bavaria don't count...they are palaces not real castles). Such with Muiderslot: At the end of the 13th century, around 1280, Count Floris V built the original castle at the mouth of the river Vecht to gain control over the main trade route to wealthy Utrecht and enforce a toll on the river (it's always about money and power isn't it?)
And also of course Floris V came to an inevitably violent end in 1296, and his castle creation soon followed, demolished in the years after his fall. But the castle was eventually rebuilt as an outlying defense for the increasingly important city of Amsterdam in the 14th century, which was well on its way of becoming the wealthiest city in the western world at the time.
The reason the castle was preserved however has a nobler source of inspiration: Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft, the "Shakespeare of the Netherlands", gained Muiderslot as his home after being appointed sheriff of Muiden in 1609. Here he founded a famous literary society called the Muiderkring, encouraging poets and authors in their pursuit of the Arts. Hooft himself wrote a significant history of the Netherlands, noteworthy in its impartial take on Dutch history. A romantic celebration of Hooft's legacy led to the castle receiving its status as a National Monument in 1878.
During Hooft's time, the gardens, plum orchard and outer earthworks were extended, and these are worth visiting once you finish the fascinating castle tour (be sure to either follow a guide or use the audio tour). Most of the castle’s interior dates from Hooft's era as well.
While you can get to the castle via bus, it's best to drive, as it's a kilometer from the nearest bus station. Or you can take a ferry from Amsterdam, but you will not get there for my favorite time to shoot, early morning, as seen here.
The shot: manual settings, Capture One Pro for post-processing, and hand-held standing on top of a picnic table for more height. I'm sure old Floris V would have approved. Hooft, probably not!

Here, an abandoned shack weathers away in the lower foothills of Yuba County. The "western" Americana theme is huge in this area of California where there are lots of long forgotten ranches intermingled amongst the active working ones. Weathered structures are as plentiful as rodents. The weather is an impartial accomplice when it comes to its influence on wood, treating the abandoned structures and the still active ones the same. Some times it's hard to tell the difference between them.

“In the center of the painting is the Savior of the world, seated on the heavenly throne. His face is stern and calm, like the face of a righteous, impartial judge. In the folds of His eyebrows, in the shadows of His face, there is a great, unearthly sorrow for the world, for the sins of humanity, and from behind it shines an impulse of boundless mercy. In His right hand Christ holds a cross, in His left an open Gospel. From behind His right shoulder, the face of the Mother of God looks out. She stands with downcast eyes, Her face is full of anxiety and worry for the world, full of sorrow and prayer for the sins of humanity, addressed to Her Son. Christ is surrounded by symbolic images of the evangelists, to his left stands John the Baptist in a humble pose, to his right is an archangel, below is another archangel with righteous scales in one hand and a scroll in the other, and on both sides of this archangel, at some distance from him, are two flying archangels blowing trumpets calling the Supreme Judge to account. In the clouds above Christ sit the apostles and saints with stern faces, full of grandeur and anxiety in anticipation of the great moment. Below, on the left side of the Savior, is placed the serpent - the tempter, and under him are sinners rising from the depths of the sea, covered with corpses. Some of the sinners look at the Judge with trembling, others with meekness and submission, with faith in His great mercy, and others, not yet having time to come to their senses and understand the full importance of the moment that has come, turn away from the heavenly throne in horror. Below, to the right of Christ, are the righteous. Their faces are calm and focused, full of humility, and some have the reverent solemnity characteristic of a believer. They meet the call to the Last Judgment with the same humility with which they have always remembered it and awaited it. Below them, at the very bottom of the painting, is the chaos of destruction, coffins everywhere, piles of human skeletons, the dead rise from the coffins and rush to the throne of the Righteous Judge. The entire lower part of the painting is filled with flames of fire, destroying the visible world.”

I'm no fanboy of any camera system and have used a lot including pentax (which I loved) but so far the camera is performing very well indeed .For those wanting to switch also think about the ergonomics as this is not as good as everyone says with not much button feedback and not raised enough in certain cases. This is not knocking the system but an honest impartial opinion as apart from the sensor and autofocus there are other things that are very important in creating images. I hope this helps as it's a brilliant camera for wildlife so far.
The new building of the Court of Law of Amsterdam was opened today and I went to look at the huge statue (5 metres high) in its forecourt. It's a sculpture by Nicole Eisenman (1965-) with the name 'Love or Generosity'. The playful - note his striped pants - giant lad is examining what he's collected in his right - law is right - hand. There's the Owl of wisdom and knowledge, the Arrow of perseverance and focus, and the Acorn of growth and patience.
Curiously, no reference to law's duty to impartially correct injustice and to punish evil... unless I'm missing something.

Street photography from London, England.
Colour re-edit of a shot from February 2019.
Last night, on the 27th April 2022, democracy ended in the United Kingdom.
This may sound melodramatic but if you consider the consequences for just a moment, the reality is nothing short of horrifying.
The UK Conservative Government have passed a number of bills through the House of Lords, after a number of attempts, where few opposition peers turned up late at night and these bills will receive automatic Royal Ascent today during the pre-election Proroguing of Parliament.
A new police and crime bill passed on 26th April that makes 'noisy protest' illegal and this includes any protest found to be disruptive. A right to peaceful (as in non-violent) protest is essential to a functional democracy.
A new elections bill passed on the 27th April that means that all voters now need to provide photographic I.D., excluding even myself from voting now as well as millions of others. In addition, and more worryingly, the bill allows the Conservative Government to control the Electoral Commission - the independent body that impartially protects the integrity of our elections, and democracy, will now be completely under the control of the current Government.
While our mainstream media is distracted by the 'dead cat' Tory sleaze stories of misogyny and MPs watching porn in the House of Commons, they are completely ignoring these new autocratic laws. Of course, the mainstream media is majority owned by Tory donors or run by Tory stooges. No wonder they wish to sell off Channel 4, the only television channel still holding Government to account.
Anyone wondering how the people of Germany allowed the country to slide into Fascist rule in the 1930s need look no further.
First they control the media, then they get away with breaking laws and telling lies with impunity. The sleaze and 'dead cat' stories then distract while laws and polices are pushed through that erode democracy. Oh, and the current Government are already scapegoating a couple of minority groups into 'the enemy' as well. Laws affecting these are already in place and more are planned. If you look deeper than the headlines you will see more in common with 1930s Germany than you would care to imagine. Ah, 'but we don't have concentration camps' you may say - well the bill making it possible for the Government to remove asylum seekers to Rwanda was also passed last night. Think these asylum seekers are all just 'economic migrants'? Think again. Any one of us is just one disaster away from becoming asylum seekers ourselves.
We now live in an elected dictatorship.
With heartfelt and genuine thanks for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day, be well, keep your eyes open, appreciate the beauty surrounding you, enjoy creating, stay safe and laugh often! ❤️❤️❤️
► █░▓ ⎽⎽⎽⎽⎽⎽ 🐆 INSTEAD of RHINOs, HIPPOs and LIONs, this moving construction appeared at high noon. A large man-made object translating with a conspicuous speed through the calm waters.
It's the local passenger ferry, heading from Sleeuwijk to Werkendam along the Boven Merwede river. The shape of the ferry is striking and ingenious. It is not only adding to the stability of the vessel, it may as well hint on catamaran build. I imagine somebody must have gotten a prize for corporate identity design here. The idea has been conceived and consequentially applied — from bridges and lock gate sentry boxes to ferry boats and the town hall building (the roof of latter you can just see perking above the bow of the ferry). I guess the underlying idea was to resemble a wave, as the town historically couples its existence with the waters of this mighty river, the largest Rhine branch in its Lowlands delta. At this point already enforced by the most of Meuse waters (Afgedamde Maas). –Everything has been marked up for your convenience.
However. After two decades of letting it sink in my impartial observing, I must come up with a following verdict... I don't like it. Its hyper-modern implementation somehow doesn't blend with the historic environment. Which has in essence remained rural, in spite of all the recent development.
—To my utter amazement, the vessel's bridge was in darkness, the front and rear windows completely shielded by the roller blinds. Yes, the light was very bright, a mere minute after high noon. But I would never have guts to rely only on monitor screens when navigating in such busy waters. Not to mention the summer low levels...

The Crusaders established a watchtower in the 12 century in Central Israel, not far away from Ramle. A village grew around it, it was called Quleh. In 1948, during the Israel Independence War, the village was destroyed and its inhabitants fled. Nobody continued to live there - neither Jews, nor Arabs. The conflict has been eventually extinguished by an impartial judge - nature. Now, it's the trees, bushes and grass that live among the remaining walls which will certainly disappear in 50 years, or so. The sharav (or hamseen), the dust storm that covered Israel amplifies the feeling of mystery of the place.
“To be away from home and yet to feel oneself everywhere at home; to see the world, to be at the centre of the world, and yet to remain hidden from the world—impartial natures which the tongue can but clumsily define. The spectator is a prince who everywhere rejoices in his incognito.” Charles Baudelaire

Atop the Old Bailey courthouse in London, a statue of Lady Justice stands, towering above the evil of City finance in the background, the Heron Tower, Tower 42 and the Gherkin.
Lady Justice was originally not blindfolded, because her “maidenly form” is supposed to guarantee her impartiality which renders the blindfold redundant.
Well, I must confess: all this "West Dune Customs" stuff I came up with, should have been just something to introduce my new MOC. Obviously it got completely out of control, gaining its own dignity, so I hope you won't be disappointed with the real MOC.
Here it is, a X-34 Tatooine landspeeder revamped in a Classic Space way, another Classic Space - Star Wars mashup from me, after Rey's speeder. What's wrong with me and speeders?
I got the same idea my friend billyburg got, but he's clearly a faster builder than me, so he uploaded his version (billyburg's classic space landspeeder) to Flickr more than a month ago. I love his version so much that I almost gave up building mine; I didn't want to give the impression of copying other people's work. Luckily, this thought lasted just less than a day...
No piece has been cut or glued. For the "snot reversal tecniques" I used on the rear of the speeder and on the side of the seats I have to thank kosbrick and his tutorials.
For the turbines design credits to Larry Lars. As I already wrote, I tried at least three different versions of the turbines, but I ended up using his, the one, eventually, I was happiest with.
I think it's a very hot landspeeder, but I am, obviously, not impartial. Maybe a little too long, but at the West Dune Custom they had to lenghten the chassis to install such a badass engine. ;-)
And the license plate? Well, 1970 is the year I was born, so LL970 was a straight choice... :D

The sponsor states: "This mural features a Black “Lady Justice” with a scarf over her eyes. She stands strong in front of us bearing a sword in her right hand and the scales of justice in her left, ready to render an objective and impartial justice for all. She is here to defend and fight for the rights of all people…"

Older and harder than life and more impartial, the eye that watched before there was an ocean.”

Since the camera is initially considered an instrument for transmitting the visible material world, we are all historically labeled "realists." The photograph became not just evidence, it became an “Artifact of Reality”.
When I first came into contact with the world of ethnographic photography, I immediately faced a dilemma. She materialized like a dirty plastic bottle in the hands of a half-naked woman from a traditional world not destroyed by civilization. I noticed her and caught myself thinking: should I take this portrait or not? Is my photography a mirror for capturing reality or a brush of creator ?
Later, I asked myself the same question while looking at photographs by Leni Riefenstahl’s “Nuba”, taken in 1962-72 with her beloved Nubians. I asked myself the same question when looking at the photographs of traveling photographers who photographed the life of the indigenous people of America or Asia in the 19th century, those who tried to convey the image of a cloudless, untouched world. For example, photographs by American photographer Edward Sheriff Curtis - Apache, Hopi, Navajo ...
I ask myself this question again and again every time while watching at great photographs...
In search of a genuine cultural layer, you have come a long way to distant settlements, but perhaps there are the same T-shirts and baseball caps... Questions from the level of professional ethics, an eternal debate - is it fair not to reflect the penetration of other cultures into the traditional culture being recorded? Was the photographer impartial? It is often difficult for us to say exactly how much an image truly reflects reality and is not the photographer’s imagination. Should we make a theater if there is nothing left under the sediments of the modern world?

Have a nice weekend to all of us!
Like an ardent lover, ready to impart a warm embrace upon a long missing companion, she closes in. She is chasing a salmon at the tide’s ebb. At this very moment nothing else in the world exists for her. She is focused on one thing… the ripples and wake of the salmon swimming across her path. Although we can watch the event unfold with our naked eye, we cannot appreciate the detail and beauty that the camera is able to define. It too caresses the subject and although its mechanics are cold and impartial, its products can be complex and emotional. It is the warm embrace of the photograph and its ability to define a microsecond of time, preserving it to be savored, appreciated, and cherished that makes photography so worthwhile. #BrownBears
One two the east River Bridges on the Manhattan and the Williamsburg Bridge here you have subway lines going across and I took this picture from a train heading into Brooklyn. The buildings on the right are a city housing project known for drab brown exteriors, cinder block walls and drab brown doorways. One of the dirty little secrets is even though the distribution of people in the projects is supposed to impartial these projects right here which are next to a large areas that has gentrified and are filled with more people for a lack of better words are filled people "who are better screened and vetted out." While there are other projects that are off the beaten path in the far flung parts of Brooklyn, Bronx and Queens whose reputations are so bad I wouldn't walk through them during the day. On the left side you have a style of apartment buildings that were built during the mid 1960's though 1970's which were the last private buildings that were built for the middle class mostly built on the outer edges of the city next to the adjoining counties of Nassau bordering Brooklyn and Queens and Westchester County which is adjacent to the North Bronx.
Awakening from the Amphitheatre of Time ©
It seems I awoke, several times over
but returned to the same theatrical scene
is déja vu possible inside a dream moreover,
witness to themes, so much of life's unseen
Winter's chill was oblivious to human torsion
the slopes and shades of daredevils glades
it seemed skiing took away fears dismission
gliding heroically through barriers and blades
a subconscious bas-relief of only dreamlike quality?
it's symbolic of how contingent we all are
upon the bigger picture of Nature's art of equality
ascertaining thus, enabling us to stand together from afar
human emotion is a rich field of continually ploughed weeds
vanity often harvests the best fruits that passion can claim
sold before the light of day, marketing our fears, sows the seeds
for a harvest of complete uncertainty, a yield we're unable to tame
set against neighbours our shortcomings writhe so nightmarish
wrangling season after season a time surely comes
finally following the lay of the land, burying pride so the Earth may reflourish
we who are nidifugous easily loose track of life and what it becomes
if anything is forgiving, it is the nature we always neglect
our biodegradable portfolio awaits the weathering of season's exemplarity
for the perfection we seek is the exclave of long-forgotten respect
bordered by foreign bodies, tolerance is the enfranchisement of singularity
if we may learn anything, it may be that dreams teach more than reality
breaking the mould from daylight's encased social posturing
sleeping journeys afford the courage of convictions impartiality
that society imprisons with the inhumanity it is sculpturing
it's nice to break free, and shatter the cast of governmental seduction
life and loveless corrupt travesties of justice appeal to the dream this time,
that hidden treasure, of a language we all understand: a course of instruction
within this amphitheatre we see a complete life whereby our time is forever in it's prime.
