Mothers from Thomson Elementary School invited Luther Place to join them in supporting the Vigil for Immigration Reform on Capital Hill.

Pastor Karen opened our time in prayer as we joined with another group from New York City-Dreamers calling for ACTION NOW.

We then marched to the Office of Speaker Boehner to demand that he bring Immigration Reform to the table. As part of our time there we prayed the Rosary together.

On February 18, 2015 the library sponsored a session as part of its Currents series to help local residents learn what President Obama’s recent executive action means directly from immigration attorneys who answered questions and provided information to individuals and families about possible adjustments to their status. Individual help was be available at the end of the session and many in attendance were also able to be processed for a community ID card.

Co-sponsored by the library, Princeton Human Services, the Princeton Police Department, LALDEF, and La Hermandad Latinoamericana.

As a visitor to the Immigration Museum you are given the opportunity of approving or declining whether a person is suitable or not. You can pick different times in history where certain people were welcomed with open arms and others were not. If you approve a person, say in the 1920's, a person of authority may point out that you are wrong due to the criteria of the day, which of course is different than now.

Hundreds of young people participate in a youth immigration rally, Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in Chicago, where Tania Unzueta, a 26-year-old graduate of the University of Illinois is an illegal immigrant and seven other young people decided to "come out" publicly about their status during the rally. They are among dozens nationwide who hope sharing their stories and risking deportation will help get immigration reform and a pathway to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants. (AP Photo/M.
