“Imaginary Landscape — Blue” — An imaginary desert landscape.
My imaginary landscape photographs begin with photographic materials from actual landscapes and then morph them in various ways. The results range from slight variations on landscape themes to images that don’t have any obvious connection to real places. This imaginary landscape began with a photograph of the surface of a playa with scattered small stones.
Human vision is a mysterious thing. Who is to say that what you see when you look at a landscape is remotely similar to what I see? A few careful followers of my website may think this image is somewhat familiar. It did appear in a post I shared at the beginning of April…

After a month of dabbling and playing with paints and brushes, my first serious effort. Definitely room for improvement, but I am not displeased.

“Imaginary Floral Landscape” — An imaginary floral lenscape of receeding spring petals.
This feels like a floral version of my “imaginary landscape” photographs in which I push the interpretation of the image significantly, to the point that I feel it is best to acknowledge what is going on. (To many photographers and flower-lovers it is obvious that this is to a “what I saw” photograph, but more a “what I imagined” photo.) The starting point was a photograph I made using a macro lens and shooting across a group of small flowers.
The boundary between real and imaginary in photographs is much less obvious that some observers may realize. If you know what you are looking at, it is not a secret that photographs are usually the photographers interpretation of the subject, not a simple reproduction. To be honest, this is more or less a feature of photographs — they cannot really be full, objective records of things, and some element of interpret figures in virtually all photographs.

Discovering and exploring the magic of double exposures.
I ask myself why I haven't tried it before. I'm working in a photography project {that I expect to finish this year and share with everyone} and then opened the door for me to explore double exposures.
I'm loving it.
While playing in photoshop with the image i came out with this and it remind me about the movie Journey to the center of the earth where the trees were blue and i thought to myself....this is funny....:)
