Some barnyard fun with Chris and Yann of the Bonneville Barons. About 90% of the shots I did with the boys were all separate so it was a bit of double trouble when making the final composite with the guys both in shot. The barnyard belongs to a friend of the owner of the Chevy truck. There were chickens around, but these fellas were shot separately and added later :)
You may recognise the image of Yann (with the slap bass) from a previous pic called 'Ramblin' Yann'.

x1 Einstein640 boomed high just off centre right for main fill.
x1 AlienBees AB800 camera left and x1 AlienBees AB1600 camera right both shot through large softboxes to provide kicker light.
Basic photo editing.. Sepia Tone.
Photo taken using my smart phone's camera.. Edited using GIMP image manipulation software.. Tone-mapped to accentuate the clouds..
My granddaughter Savannah is 6 now, she loves walking with Bella. This is a fairly new bridge in Tintern Woods. Original image slid a little with Prisma's "Surf" filter HSS! She's heading home tomorrow so Nana might get a little time to catch up on Flickr 😂
This is an updated version of a previous post.. The original image was a cut-n-paste project.. I wanted to create a seamless image using basic cut and paste techniques.. This version of that image is a representation of my updated painting skills using GIMP software..

* Another picture from the Farm. I created the HDR from a single .jpeg and then edited the white balance using Photoshop. Applied a photoshop vintage action, changed the colour balance, added more sharpness on the field and desaturated everything else a little bit. The concept was to change the landscape into a surrealistic and eery atmosphere; but atractive at the same time, without losing the original feeling of this shot.

While Mr. Sardonicus was on the moon, I took my time corrupting the animal kingdom.
If you really don't know what this is about, it's a homage/ copycat/ tribute/ parody of this shot (scroll down to see the dirty version) and the several smoking and/or animal shots throughout Mr. Sardonicus' photostream.
For Theme of the Week: "Copycats & Testimonials"
Disclaimer: Except turkeys, I do not condone animal smoking, except for religious purposes.

Thank you Mirish
An homage to Skyrim and a passing nod at Christmas :)
Mirish was cut out of an existing image. No grey screen compositing here. She was added to the DS4 rendered snow scene along with the armoured dragon.
While chasing yet another winning view of a water droplet.. I revisited the calla lily I had rescued from the grocer. This is the result of using off-camera flash light, bounced off various and sundry surfaces around the plant, set in front of a white background.
Then.. since I can never leave well enough alone, I went way past simple twaking of color and tone. As one idea suggested another, it all wound up being about seeking/finding/gazing into Light.

Taken from looking directly down two storeys in a building at the edge of the swimming pool. She has just kicked off the wall, and with some perspective correction - and other photoshop magic - creates this illusion that I was directly above the pool.
My cyberpunk vision of Chongqing (China) in 2049.
Image composite, foreground is Chongqing, the skyline is composed of buildings from Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenyang, Dubai, Bahrain, Guilin. The background moutains are from Hong Kong, the snowy mountain is Mount Hood in Oregon.
All visual effects done with BorisFX Optics.
Composite starting from a Hong Kong view, to which I added multiple industrial elements and buildings. The gritty look and mood comes from BorisFX Optics.
Each image in this composition was taken by me at the same intersection in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. They seemed to lend themselves to an overall image of the constant pedestrian crossing traffic at this intersection.
All photos are shot and composed by me. All around Malaysia.
The model is myself. Thanks and have nice days :)

MEET WYATT! I volunteer with Central Texas Dachshund Rescue as a foster parent. I was asked to photograph the dogs for the 2009 Rescue Calendar and it was a huge success! Wyatt was chosen to be Mr. September. He was our foster dog for many months. He is a beautiful brindle dachshund. We love getting to know these little guys and helping them gain their confidence and feel safe in the world.
Take a closer look at Wyatt's final photoshopped image and read his story.
