The typical telephone pole gets none whatsoever.
But then, do those homely -- but supposedly necessary -- things deserve any respect?
The utility companies have been putting them up for over a century, , everywhere we look, and using the airspace immediately overhead as their domain, a place to fill up with wires, transformers, insulators, circuit breakers and all manner of other stuff. We mostly take that for granted and tune out the ugliness since it's "indispensible" to life as we know it. So, is it any wonder some folks turn utility poles into virtual pincushions like this?

I took another photo with a longer exposure, but the sky was white, i.e. overexposed (and in most cases I prefer not to change anything with image manipulation software, so I prefer to leave this photo as it is, slighlty too dark for my taste)

i totally wasn't following the tutorial by creativeoverflow.net/. i know i screwed up because the final image should not look like this, in fact, a lot different from this! but i'm happy with the result; so..
Decided to have a play with image manipulation tonight. I got out of work early to try and beat the traffic... so had a bit more time to play with when I got home. So tripod out and madam being a perfect subject. I did a similar photo with me last year that I wanted to try again, indoors this time.
She is a gem, but I don't think I could handle this many of her though ;oP
Sun Village, Surprise AZ
A 45 minute jaunt through Sun Village this morning produces several "Classics"
Saint Mary's, Alaska, on September 15, 2021. Fall seems to have arrived this week. We never quite had summer, but I guess it is too late to go back!! Maybe we will see summer next year.
These are two images with different crops, and very little image manipulation. Fall really is this color around here.

The condemned council estate in the north east of England called Doxford Park, known locally as Doxy.
This estate is so big its going to take 15 years from beginning to end to knock down and build up again, and they are already 7 years in.
Despite the pictures and the way it looks, this really is a nice place, i love this place, and if i had my way i would stop them knocking this place down and build it back up again just the way it was.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.
I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.
I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in and around the North East of England.
All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.
I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.
All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.
I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.
