Hugh St John Mountjoy was thoroughly fed up with all the ludicrous posing with PINK fairy lights, only being very well brought up he was far too polite to let it show. "Just bring me a steaming cup of gluwein, with a big fat stogie, and make it snappy!" was the predominant thought in his head. Aloysius detected Hugh's angst, and secretly thought it was all rather amusing, but then he always had been a laid-back-kind-of-bear.

I love long exposures, everything to do with night time, the dark, sunrise and sunset.

I like to take pictures mainly at night , sometimes during the day and in dull and fading light and I will sometimes display the time and date the picture was taken too.

I tend to take pictures of Light trails, Motorway traffic, Street lights, Buildings, Landscapes, Bokeh, Night bokeh and Hexagonal Night Bokeh in and around the North East of England.

All of my pictures are 100% natural and untouched in every way without ever been Photo shopped or altered or messed about with in anyway whatsoever, No multi layered photography, No HDR's and No image manipulation of any kind, all of my pictures look just the way they did when I saw them at the time of taking and I'm VERY PROUD of that.

I don't do any photo processing at all, I don't even own any photo software.

All of my starbursts are all 100% natural without using any filters or anything else, as is all my bokeh, night bokeh and hexagonal night bokeh, its all natural, no funny gimmicks at all.

I don't do anything with my pictures apart from take them and then upload them , 99.99999% of my pictures don't even get cropped , they are all 100% natural and untouched and then uploaded.

This scene, featuring Sully the Westie, was meticulously illustrated pixel by pixel in Photoshop. Sully has Thalassophobia (fear of the ocean) and Isolophobia (fear of being alone). I know the waves look like a raster image, but they are not. I added filters to make it look more like water crashing.

It really is a magnificent piece of art. I lived in Harbison back when my kids were small and the mall was built. The food court is the perfect place to take several picky people out to eat and we did it often. Finishing out the evening with a ride before going home. Wonderful memories...

This piece was created for my art exhibition, themed ‘Island of the Gods’. I have incorporated some of the values and beliefs of the Hindu religion, such as the concept of the third eye, or the fact that Hinduism, unlike other religions does not condemn sex as being sinful, but rather regards it as a divine act. I combined those ideas with futuristic and surreal elements to make it more unique and reflective of my own style. In this piece, the astronaut is symbolic of someone from our physical reality, who has discovered the world of the Gods.

Failed Lift :( by Christina Emery

This was my first failed lift or shall I say the emulsion failed to stick to the watercolor paper. I did not realize the emulsion was not secure and when I moved the dried photo / paper the photo cracked. I latherd some gel medium on the photo in hopes to afix the image and repair the cracks (you can see my brush strokes). Not 100% sure why the emulsion did not stick. I have done a bunch of lifts and this was the first time I have encountered this issue . Anyone else have any similar issues?

Average Me, One Year by Alex Jacque

A year ago I made a little Processing script to average sets of photos (examples one, two, and three), and a few weeks before that I started a photo-a-day project, where I was careful to get as close to the same angle as possible. It didn’t take much thought to combine those two projects. Anyway, this is the result averaging a year of self portraits.

I’ve got a few more ideas for things to give the ol’ averaging treatment to, so we’ll see where this projects picks up a bit later down the line.

I am still keeping with the photo-a-day project, so maybe next year (same Bat-time same Bat-channel) we’ll get to see year one vs year two comparison and a two year average.
