...illo for The Scene mag review of a T Rex tribute album.

Yet another late night illo.

A pen and ink illustration I did 10+ years ago.

Illo for Atlanta Magazine

All finished now, and very soon you can vote for it here!

Lately I've been looking at a lot of really cute children's illustration and they often use animal poeple. I usually don't do that so it's really weird for me to draw this way. It's hard because I don't usually anthropomorphize much features-wise (and I'm not trying to draw furries, ha!) I drew a lot more lousy scribbles last night but i'm slowly kind of getting a kind of language going.

My favorites are the lemur and the monkey.

Should I proceed or no? Hm, I wonder. I'm gonna keep fooling around, it's kind of fun figuring this out.

My second time participating in illo friday; this week's theme is cold. This is the original drawing; for the drawing with colorization, see the next picture.

Sentes que um tempo acabou,

Primavera de flores adormecida.

Qualquer coisa que não volta que voou,

Que foi um rio, um ar na tua vida.

E levas em ti guardado

E choro de uma balada,

Recordações de um passado,

O bater da velha cabra.

Capas negras de saudade,

No momento da partida.

Segredos desta cidade

This is the university where I got graduated!

Yesterday I returned there to meet mt friends, at the annual diner party.

This is a place with a magical mood :)

Wish you all a great week, big kiss,

Ana

As usual, the critter being reclined upon doesn't seem to mind too much. It's all aces.

Can anyone make out the signature? Paul...

...and Perseus is outta work. Gig poster illo.

paper collage, ink, oil pastel crayon

same drawing diff. color way.

this is the raw drawing without the logo or record details overlaid....

A small peek of a poster I worked on last month. I'll get to share it in May, but still I'm pretty psyched to see the beast in person! Spent a lotta hours working on this sucker, I'm relieved it looks good at full size!

Sam Bosma was wondering what I put in my promo pack, so I figured I'd show the insides of the pack I'm sending off to 50 lucky clients I'd love to work with!

Hoping that the fact that some things are a little hand-made rather than slick won't make people ignore me. My next promo pack will have the calendar I'm going to design this weekend for 2010! (For sale soonish I hope!)

Art by my friend Nick Derington, color by me.

I love the work of Mr. Derington, please, check his stuff:

Finished Illo-colored in photoshop.

I got asked to do a cover for the lovely alt-weekly The Stranger for their issue on the 2008 Seattle International Film Festival. Once again the illo turned crazy. I started out wanting to do limited palette-- and it just kind of backfired and turned into candy-colored paradise instead!

Illo done for the movie review years and years ago, in a galaxy blah, blah, blah...

gouache and colored pencil

Which one to down first?

New little illo that Ive been working on today. Working on a new style of rending in illustrator so starting to figure it out & make something im happy with. -Enjoy

The fourth installment of Picture Book Report-- Bill the Lizard doesn't look too thrilled about his assignment, but then again neither does Alice!

Click all sizes, you know the drill!

sneak peak of a new illo coming soon...

Personal project - illos for Silver Nose, an Italian folk tale.

Colored pencils, yay! Lots of fun.

'and in the autumn I'll ditch her! 'cos she's my summer girl!'

Been wanting to draw more ladies. So here's my in progress ode to summery girls and also a rendition of what I've been wearing lately, except cuter. I really want to draw a lot more than I do...

uploaded for the site. Bikes and birds and baskets, ahoy!
