ILF HP5

Basel, Sep. 1987

The aircraft was dispatched in Angola on behalf of the International Red Cross. The Hercules took off from Kuito, Angola, at 06:50 UTC on Oct. 14. 1987 for a return flight to Benguela. On climbout a no. 1 engine failure was simulated by the pilot. The aircraft then continued to climb to FL240. At 4 min 36sec after takeoff, the no. 3 engine exploded. A fire then erupted. The Hercules descended fast and collided with 8 houses of the Cancao village, killing two people on the ground as well as all on board.

PROBABLE CAUSE: The accident can be explained by the fact that the aircraft was struck by ground fire or a missile, the origin of which couldn't be established.

Named: "Tooa".

This aircraft was delivered to ILFC International Lease Finance Corporation and leased to Polynesian Airlines as 5W-ILF in Sep-92. It was sold to Polynesian in Jun-97. The aircraft was briefly leased to Ansett Australia between Apr/May-01 and then leased to Freedom Air (New Zealand) between May/Aug-01.

It was sold back to ILFC in Oct-01 and immediately leased to QANTAS Airways as VH-TAB. It was returned to the lessor in Oct-03 as N262KS and was leased to Cayman Airways as VP-CKY in Nov-03. The aircraft was returned to the lessor in Nov-17 and stored at Goodyear, AZ, USA.

In Apr-19 it was re-registered N282AA with Aerownership and ferried to San Salvador, El Salvador where it was again stored. It was leased to One Airlines, Chile as CC-DAN in Aug-19 although I can't see anywhere that it ever entered service (according to Wikipedia the airline "is in a semi-operational state").

One Airlines ceased operations in Jun-20 and the aircraft appears to have been ferried to Asheville, NC, USA in Jul-20 and stored. It was returned to Aerownership as N282AA in Apr-22. It'll be 30 years old this year! Stored, updated 07-May-22.

News from @cogeffects: !!!! NEW PEDAL DAY !!!! Say hello to the new Tarkin Fuzz and Grand Tarkin Bass Fuzz! The Tarkin mk2 remains firmly based on the Green Russian, just like the original, but the new version has been upgraded with expanded options over Mids and clipping, as well as having been shrunk to the pedalboard-friendly teeny-tiny Hammond 1590A enclosure. Even more versatile than before, and able to find a spot on even the most cramped guitar and bass pedalboards. bit.ly/1RKlSqw The goal behind the Grand Tarkin hasn't shifted – a solid and versatile bass fuzz for the gigging musician, with building-crushing tone and no frills or gimmicks. What's changed is an increase in flexibility and versatility. The single Level and Blend knobs have been replaced with two pairs of Clean Level and Fuzz Level knobs, and a second footswitch to swap between these two presets on the fly. The clean signal is filtered, just like on the original Grand Tarkin, to deliver massive bass tones rather than unnatural-sounding and lacklustre “side-by-side” blended fuzz sounds. This is THE Muff-based fuzz you need on your bass pedalboard. bit.ly/1UUgEzd Bass demo of the Tarkin by the awesome @mrexcane can be found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctaT60v3o10 Guitar demo of the Tarkin and bass demo of the Grand Tarkin will follow this week. !!!! Toys ‘R’ Us Australia was having a sale last week so I popped in to see what I might find, and lo and behold they had ILF Cleo and Venus in stock. (I had been hoping to find ILF Scarah, but finding Cleo quickly eroded my initial disappointment)

I LOVE this Cleo! Not only is she rocking the darker lip (note the dark red ‘oval’ on her lower lip, cool much!) but she’s got eye shadow similar to that of Scaris Cleo’s. Which is fantastic as I adore Scaris Cleo’s makeup.

The outfits though! Where do I begin? They’re fantastic! The gold belt on her 3rd outfit is removable, as is the blue-netting-top on her 1st outfit. And the accessories! THE SHOES!!! I mean I know they’re all re-coloured but still! GAH!

The only downside is that her sunglasses almost seem to be a little bit too small for her face. They just don’t quite fit…

Other than that though she is perfect!

Very grainy, taken on a dark and murky day at LAX (but rescued by 'noise reduction' software).

An 'unlucky' aircraft which didn't stay long with any airline. First flown with the Boeing test registration N57008, this aircraft was an early standard B767-205 (Line No:81), delivered to Braathens S.A.F.E (Norway) as LN-SUV in Mar-84.

It was returned to the Boeing Equipment Holding Company as N767BE in Sep-85 and leased to TACA International Airlines in Oct-85. It returned to Boeing in May-86 and was leased to VARIG Brazil as PP-VNL the following month.

Boeing sold it to ILFC International Lease Finance Corporation in Aug-86 while the lease to VARIG continued. It was returned to ILFC in May-87 and was leased to Britannia Airways as G-BNAX the following day, for the summer season.

Returning to ILFC in Oct-87 as N650TW, the aircraft was converted to a B767-205ER before being leased to TWA Trans World Airlines in Oct-87. It was sub-leased to Gulf Air between May/Sep-88.

In Mar-01 it was returned to ILFC and stored. In Oct-01 the aircraft was leased to Aero Continente (Peru) as OB-1758. It became OB-1758-P in Jun-03. It was returned to ILFC in Oct-04 as N371LF and stored at Dothan, AL, USA.

The aircraft was leased to MaxJet in Jan-06 and was re-registered N260MY the following month. MaxJet ceased operations in Dec-07 and it was impounded at New York-JFK. ILFC managed to retrieve it in Jan-08 and it was stored at Victorville, CA, USA.

It was leased to Air Seychelles (still as N260MY) in Aug-08 and was re-registered in S7-ILF in Sep-10. It was returned to ILFC in Nov-11 as N391LF and permanently retired at Goodyear, AZ, USA. The registration was cancelled in Mar-12. It was last noted still stored at Goodyear in Mar-13 and was subsequently broken up.

Arriving Chicago O'Hare on April 18, 2004.

"S/N" is the aircraft's serial number. "L/N" is a Boeing code denoting what order the airframe came off the production line. "F/N" refers to an individual airline's fleet numbering system. Not all airlines use a fleet number; not all manufacturers use a line number.

Eyerene is a rerooted, flocked, and repainted ILF Iris Clops. She's been redone in my style and given a new, edgy hairstyle and I'm really proud of her! This is my first time trying to flock hair and I'm really happy with how it came out. Plus I used liquid fusion and some sealant to secure it, so it's even waterproof, unlike the factory flocking that comes on dolls like Venus.

Soviet postcard by photo department Ed. 'Molot', Rostov-on-Don, no. 06453, 1959. The card was issued in 75,000 copies. The price was 75 K. Pictures from Po tu storonu/On the other side (Fyodor Filippov, 1958), Devushka s gitaroy/A Girl with Guitar (Aleksandr Faintsimmer, 1958), Devushka bez adresa/Girl Without an Address (Eldar Ryazanov, 1958), and Oleko Dundich/Aleksa Dundic (Leonid Lukov, 1958).

Sergey Filippov (1912-1990) was a comical Soviet film and theatre actor, best known for his parts in films like Priklyucheniya Korzinkinoi/Adventures of Korzinkina (1941), Notchnoi patrul/The Night Patrol (1957) and the adaptation of Ilf and Petrov's classic The Twelve Chairs (1971), which granted him the People's Artist of the RSFSR title in 1974. His life ended as a tragedy.

Sergey Nikolayevich Filippov (Russian: Серге′й Никола′евич Фили′ппов) was born in Saratov, Russian Empire, in 1912. His father was a factory worker, his mother a dressmaker. Expelled from school for bad behaviour (involving, reportedly, dangerous experiments in the cabinet of a chemistry teacher), he tried several jobs (a baker’s boy, a carpenter, a factory worker) before joining a ballet studio, which in 1929 sent him to Moscow for further education. Filippov enrolled into the recently formed Popular Music and Circus college which he graduated in 1933 to join the Moscow Ballet and Opera Theatre troupe. A heart problem forced Filippov to drop out, though; soon he found himself in the Saint Petersburg Comedy Theatre, led by Nikolai Akimov, where he became one of the leading actors. In 1937 Sergey Filippov made his film debut, playing a Finnish soldier in Za Sovetskuyu Rodinu/For Soviet Motherland (Rafail Muzykant, Yuri Muzykant, 1937). In the following years, Filippov was cast in several major films. He was a provision store wrecker in Kozintsev and Trauberg's Vyborgskaya storona/New Horizons (Grigori Kozintsev, Leonid Trauberg, 1938), and an old railroad worker in Arinka (Nadezhda Kosheverova, Yuri Muzykant, 1939). He also played a sailor anarchist in Yakov Sverdlov (Sergey Yutkevich, 1940), and an enemy saboteur in Zarkhi and Kheifits' Tchlen pravitelstva/Member of the Government (Iosif Kheifits, Aleksandr Zarkhi, 1940). Both directors and critics praised Filippov's improvisational talent as well as his plasticity and physical strength, which allowed him to perform dangerous stunts with ease.

In the 1940s, Sergey Filippov created a gallery of crooks, loafers and eccentrics on screen. Well-versed in the history of film, he never copied his favourite comics. The cultural climate in the USSR was hardly conductive for eccentric comedy at the time, yet Priklyucheniya Korzinkinoi/Adventures of Korzinkina (Klimenti Mints, 1941) with Yanina Zhejmo in the lead, became hugely popular. In the film, Filippov played a reciter, performing Lermontov's 'Death of Gladiator' on stage, while tormented by a mouse inside his jacket. His performance was small but unforgettable. Mid-1950s saw another rise in Filippov's popularity. "I usually play the Soviet people, my contemporaries, so in each character I look for a social motif," he once said, cited by Wikipedia. His parts were small but memorable: silly and arrogant Almazov in Ukrotitelnitsa tigrov/The Tiger Trainer (Aleksandr Ivanovsky, Nadezhda Kosheverova, 1955), absurdly dull Znanie society lecturer Comrade Nekadilov in the box office hit Karnavalnaya notch/Carnival Night (Eldar Ryazanov, 1956) and two-faced official Komarinsky in Devushka bez adresa/Girl Without an Address (Eldar Ryazanov, 1958). One of his best-known parts of the time was that of a crooked shop director Polzikov in Notchnoi patrul/Night Patrol (Vladimir Sukhobokov, 1957). In retrospect critics deplored the unadventurous way Filippov's comical gift had been exploited by directors, who often used his very presence to save otherwise mediocre scenes or films. Wikipedia cites actress Lyubov Tishchenko, who told that Filippov's major grievance in his latter years was never having received a tragic role he was craving for.

In 1965 Sergey Filippov underwent a brain tumor removal. He continued to work with the same fervent zeal, though. In 1971, he starred as Kisa Vorobyaninov, next to Archil Gomiashvili's Ostap Bender in a highly popular adaptation of Ilf and Petrov's Dvenadtsat stulyev/The Twelve Chairs ( Leonid Gaiday, 1971). This proved to be the peak of his career. In 1974 the actor was awarded the People's Artist of the RSFSR title. In the 1980s Filippov's health began to decline. His final film appearance was a bit part as a veteran in Chastnyy detektiv, ili operatsiya 'Kooperatsiya'/Private Detective, or Operation Cooperation (Leonid Gaiday, 1990). After his second wife, Antonina Golubeva, who was thirteen years his senior, died in 1989, he was left alone, disabled and destitute. Aged 77, Filippov died of lung cancer in 1990 in Leningrad, USSR (present-day St. Petersburg, Russia). His body was not discovered until two weeks later. Lenfilm refused to subsidise any funeral service and according to fellow comedy star Evgeny Morgunov, it was actor Aleksandr Demyanenko who personally collected the sum needed. Filippov was interred in Saint Petersburg Severnoye Cemetery. Filippov's first wife was the ballet dancer Alevtina Gorinovich, with whom he fathered a son, Yuri Sergeyevich Filippov. In the early 1950s, soon after his first marriage ended in divorce, Filippov remarried, to Antonina Golubeva (1899–1989), a children writer.

these are two uncut notes and hence its rarity, Elbing is in present day Poland

Elbląg [ˈɛlblɔnk] (German: Elbing; Lithuanian: Elbinga) is a city in northern Poland with 127,892 inhabitants (2006). It is the capital of Elbląg County and has been assigned to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship since 1999. Before then it was the capital of Elbląg Voivodeship (1975–1998) and a county seat in Gdańsk Voivodeship (1945–1975). The city is a port on the river Elbląg which flows into the Vistula Lagoon about 10 km to the north, thus giving the city access to the Baltic Sea via the Russian-controlled Strait of Baltiysk.

It was first mentioned as "Ilfing" in The Voyages of Ohthere and Wulfstan which was written in Anglo-Saxon in King Alfred's reign using information from a Viking who had visited the area.

During the Middle Ages, the Old Prussian settlement of Truso was located at Lake Drużno near the current site of Elbląg in historical Pogesania; the settlement burned down in the 10th century.[1] The Teutonic Knights conquered the region and the inhabitants dispersed in the process. The Teutonic Order built a castle and founded Elbing at the lake with a population mostly from Lübeck; today the much smaller lake does not reach the city any more. After the defeat of the Teutonic Knights and the destruction of the castle by the inhabitants, the city successively was under the sovereignty of the Polish crown (1466), the Kingdom of Prussia (1772), and Germany (1871). Elbing was heavily damaged in World War II, its German citizens were expelled upon the war's end. The city became part of Poland in 1945 and was repopulated with Polish citizens.

Desafio BFF - (06/10)

Usei:

1x base Matt Up, DNA Italy

2x ILF, Manglaze

1x 24 Quilates, Jade (anulares)

1x water decal e Matte Top Coat, OPI (médios)
