If somebody ask your advice about a new cat, please put in a word or two about the adult shelter cats. We adopted Snow White at the age of 8 and she was living proof of what purrfect cats can be found at the shelters. Kittens are cute, but senior cats are complete personalities as the princess turned out to be.

How many times in a lifetime do we find ourselves thinking " IF ONLY"
It maybe that you regret not trying harder at school and are in a job you really don't like.
It maybe words you wished you had said to a loved one who has passed away.
It maybe I wish I had a better camera, if only I could afford one.
There are so many senario's
On this occasion, my " IF ONLY" was a wish, for that sky to move around a little.
We had waited in the car for what seemed like an age, while the rain poured down, hailstones fell and the tide which should have receded, was still high.
I hoped eventually it would pass over and I would be able to capture something.
I'd not seen a sky like this for a long time, such depth and full of colour.
It was a little difficult trying to dodge the waves, eliminate the glass collectors, get a reasonable shot at the right speed, this was the best I could do " IF ONLY"

If you drive north over the Lukmanier Pass and leave Ticino, you will pass this reservoir directly after the cantonal border at an altitude of over 1900 meters. Here it shines beautifully in the evening sun and accompanies us into the canton of Graubünden.

If you climb to the top of two-tired Virginia Falls in Glacier National Park, you will be fascinated with the views. It starts with sparkling crystal clear water in a riverbed lined with striking colorful pebbles of different shades of red and green. At formation, small amounts of iron in their composition combined with varying oxygen levels determined their colors. Red means oxygen was present and green means the air was lacking oxygen.
You see a gorgeous two-tiered waterfall that seems to vanish into what was once a lush forest when looking down the slope. A past forest fire left its scars on the land. Raise your eyes higher, and you see some of the towering peaks found in Glacier National Park.

Castle on the river ...

This Castle is real, it is not an illusion.
Such photos are sometimes taken serina if the conditions are right.
This day is another example that it is worth waiting for a fabulous light that brings out unprecedented colors and shades. But that would not be enough to succeed.
I waited several years to take photos of the castle from the north side, because the location from which such photos can be taken is a private property usually unavailable, but that day the owner visited his old house. You also have to be a little lucky to be where you need to be at the right time - that day I did not have a camera with me but I had a phone, in less than 5 minutes I took 11 photos, walking closer to the river towards the castle - I only changed the focal lengths. It was worth waiting for the right moment.
