Germany, Hamburg, Jenisch Park, Common or European Oak.
📌...The Oak tree was planted about 400 years ago, around 1600 at a time before the park was designed; the girth grows about 3cm per year.
The trunk currently has a circumference of a little over 8.20 m, the tree height is a slight over 20 m. The monumental oak tree has a fairly large crown with a diameter of good 20 m.
The trunk of the oak tree has a large hole on one side, which extends just above the ground to a height of more than 4 m. The opening had been sanitized in 1972 & at that time braced with iron bars, even so the vitality of the oak is still quite good.
The Jenisch park is the oldest landscaped park in Hamburg, located in the Othmarschen quarter at the shore of River Elbe, of the area of 43 ha 8 ha are a protected.
Two museums, Jenisch House & Ernst Barlach House, are located within the park. The small river “Flottbek” flows through the park & into the Elbe at the ferry dock “Teufelsbrück” meaning devils bridge…
The area of today's park was acquired by Caspar Voght in the period from 1785 to 1805, together with extensive land near the town of Flottbek. At the time, it was largely uninhabited former cultivated land. All of Voght's property consisted of four parts, which were grouped around a country house & which can still be seen in the townscape today: today's Jenisch park, the botanical garden, among other things a golf course & initially a tree nursery, but today also park again.
Voght was inspired when landscaping his property by English poet William Shenstone's estate, The Leasowes. He planned an extensive ideal landscape with which he wanted to combine aesthetic & economic aspects, social responsibility & agricultural use. Together with the Scottish farmer Alexander Rogers he designed a model estate in the form of a so-called rural farm as a sequence of picturesque landscapes that were accessed via a circular route. The result was a park landscape with farmland, wooded areas & groups of trees that seemed casually embedded & buildings.

Juxaposition or People and Posters
This is a collection of Graffiti or Posters that I have photographed over a period of time, with people in the foreground. There is some fantastic graffiti out there and all I have done is to record it. To the artists I take my hat off to you and have much regret when your work is vandalised. To the poster stickers, keep up the good work. As usual, trust you will enjoy what I’ve posted.
This was taken in Cambridge.
ideal relationship is built on trust, openness, mutual respect and personal freedom. But real freedom comes with making a choice, not just about who we are with but how we will treat that person. Choosing to be honest with a partner every day is what keeps love real. And truly choosing that partner every day by one’s own free will is what makes love last. So while freedom to choose is a vital aspect of any healthy and honest union
A visit to the zoo may not be everybody's idea of a good day out but I just love being close to these exotic animals in the flesh. My first visit to the Zoo was back in the early 1950's with my Mam and Dad and everything, other than the elephant carrying people on it's back, were locked up in cages. Today that is all changed and the animals have space, there are none rocking back and forth and clearly their welfare is high on the priority of the Zoo. This "African Plains" area is very large, plenty of space, room to move, to run and with shelter when Irish conditions are not ideal. I love both of these species, the Zebras and the Giraffes each has it's own special appeal.
Here’s the repainted Eric doll that was started by dollsahoy and I redid his face in my own style to soften up his potato style sculpting. I didn’t have a particular look I need so I’m happy he has a personality and stuff lol.
I also sprayed him down in MSC so his body is now matte and it sorta matches his head better lol. I’m not a huge fan of later 70s dolls but I’m warming up to their… unique style lol.
I thought I had more vintage dolls with blue hair but I guess not lol
Keswick is a market town in England's Lake District, situated right next to the vast lake Derwentwater, offering a wide range of activities like walking, boating, and visiting local attractions such as the Cumberland Pencil Museum. Derwentwater is a picturesque lake, ideal for boat trips and the famous 10-mile circular walk, surrounded by fells and woodland and cradled by mountains.
Minho lands
A sunset is always magical, seeing the light reflecting on the horizon and on the river with the last rays of the sun is something unique and impossible to repeat. If we add that the diverse and varied landscapes of Galicia are the ideal setting to enjoy this spectacle of nature, a romantic sunset full of seduction and charm, you have to experience some of these colorful and fleeting sunsets that intoxicate leave you engrossed.

Weather conditions have not been ideal for the entire day, zero light at sunset, very nice blue hour full of dark clouds (picture next week!), and then just completely overcast. I went for a short nap and I decided to wake up again around midnight to check the sky. The conditions were not ideal but it was much better than I expected. This is the only lucky shot I managed to take at the Milky Way since a strong wind was blowing clouds just to the center of the Galaxy. After that I had to fight quite hard to get a decent shot of the foreground. The terrain was next to a lake and I was litterally sinking in water every movement I was making. These flowers are called Eriophorum (cotton-grass) and they are typical of the Artic Tundra or the north-west Alps (especially high in the Adamello National Park). I wanted these beauties rather than a simple reflection (which was anyway impossible due to wind). I had to make compromises with the dept of field because a long exposure of several minutes was impossible and so were for focus stacking shots, the wind just made everything tricky. After some attempts I got away with a clean shot at high iso and low f/. This is it, the night at 2600m in the wilderness of the Adamello National Park.

This would be the ideal house for us, the Old Dairy at Godmersham, beautiful, well balanced and in beautiful landscape
Given I'm more of a run and gun photographer (don't have the patience) - I did give myself a few moments to properly plan this composition - looking at foreground, midground, background - with an implied movement of objects from the rocks, to the building, to the lighthouse in the background.
I've seen this guy and his poetic car for ages till i finally found the proper mood for a good shot!!
