Senator Terry Gerratana joined with other New Britain legislators to show her support for treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” by taking the “Ice Bucket Challenge” and making contributions to ALS treatment at New Britain’s Hospital for Special Care. The Hospital for Special Care is home to the largest ALS treatment program in New England. The Ice Bucket Challenge has raised $88.5 million for the ALS Association since July 29th, a huge victory compared to the $64 million raised in all of 2013. Left to right: Rep.
