A glimpse of work life at home

Author: Tomáš Stryhal

Oil on canvas

Something funny about this place. Good, though.

A fish eye lens is a good instrument if you want to capture the spirit of the big apple. In this city is hard to frame skyscrapers, streets and pedestrians at the same time. This album is the result of a walk trough The Flatiron District, an exciting destination for architecture, food and design. I tried to capture the vibe of this neighborhood, that seems to be surreal when you see it reflected in the store's windows. Inspired by Richard Estes hyperrealism.
