Six thirty in the morning at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco. The coffee was waiting along with six monitors showing six different news shows. Political news, sports news, weather, financial news, even a story about a person missing after the recent floods in some town I've never heard of in the midwest. How can our minds even assimilate this much information? I mourn the loss of simplicity from my grandparent's generation.

In 1955 my grandparents purchased their 1st television set. I was 4-years old. It blew my little mind. I thought that we were watching people on another planet living out their lives. Now we practically are.

I was relieved to get home to our small town where the local news (Yubanet.com) recently reported this hot flash:

"April 11, 2019 at 9:42 AM A large pig is wandering in the roadway between Coyote Street and Lake Vera on North Bloomfield. Use caution in the area and check your pig pens."

This is from last year, but I haven't uploaded anything new in a while, so I figured I'd upload these cutie-pies. :)

I have been so busy lately training and looking after the new puppy, so I've had to put all my photo adventures on hold over the past few weeks. I greatly miss photo-shooting regularly (not that I ever did photoshoot regularly, except back in my 365 days)... At the moment I'm spending this week attempting to keep Pepper Puppy calm and in-active (he was neutered on Monday and needs several days of no running or jumping), which is proving to be a challenge considering he's so playful and hyper (I blame the border collie in him!). By this time next week, I hope to kick off 2012 by going on lots of new photo adventures and hikes with the pups, and I will soon be filling my flickr stream with new treasures once again! ...Unless it rains. In which case I'll probably just stay home and eat chocolate. Or perhaps I could try some indoor photos.

My first sunset with the Voigtländer Heliar-Hyper Wide 10mm F5.6 Aspherical. I really need to clean my sensor. The A7 is my Jack of all Trades and host to all sorts of lenses and adaptors and is often open due to lens swops. When shooting longer lenses wide open dust is no issue, but 10 mm at f/16 reveals every single spec of dust.

With a little help from NIK Vivenza and Color Efex Pro.

Filter holder has been ordered, can't wait to shoot 10 mm long exposures with ND filters.

It is done! I barely can believe it myself, after 5 years on flickr I can post my very first completed build.

So happy with how this build turned out, managed to jam in all the details I aimed to.

My take/edit on the hyper five lineup. Was definitely an awesome experience seeing them all together and being driven hard.

Some packaging that I received came with these styrofoam chunks so I thought I'd play around with it and try out some different lighting and effects.
