A misty, moody morning at Yosemite Valley, October 2015.
I've posted a similar shot before but I wanted to post process a more "Fantasy" version to bring out the emotions the location gave me.
So this is a little hyper-realistic, more than my usual shots.
I took this photo of a pair of Lynx about a week ago at West Country Wildlife Photography on a work-shop organised by Bob of Natures Photos (www.naturesphotos.co.uk/).

A blood test has now diagnosed Caithlin with hyperthyroidism. Not uncommon in elderly cats and explains her weight loss. We have seen it before with Snow White and fortunately there is effective medication that probably will keep her well for years to come...

Mexican amberwing was half the size of the other dragonfly at the pond. They were so fast it was difficult to capture them.

The azure-winged magpie (Cyanopica cyanus) is a highly social, hyper-intelligent bird of the crow family. These complex birds possess cognitive abilities that constantly intrigue ornithologists.
Studies show they spontaneously share food with flock mates without being begged. This level of unprompted, cooperative generosity is incredibly rare in the animal kingdom and often compared to human behaviours.
They are cooperative breeders, meaning extended family or “helper” birds assist in building nests, defending territory, and raising chicks.
Renowned for its striking blue wings and tail, it exhibits a fascinating biological mystery, a massive geographic gap of over 5,000 miles between its separated European and East Asian populations.
