A hydrangea flowering head, with some nice showy sterile flowers, and lots of small fertile ones.
Thanks for looking! Isn't God a great artist?
When we got back from our trip our hydrangea bush was in full bloom. It has a pretty mix of colors, but the blues are my favorite, so I did a little sliding to make them all blue. HSS!

Our pink hydrangeas never cease to amaze me. We live in a very peculiar and flower-unfriendly micro-climate where nothing wants to grow, yet they don't seem to care.

Hydrangea, commonly named the hortensia, is a genus of over 75 species of flowering plants native to Asia and the Americas. By far the greatest species diversity is in eastern Asia, notably China, Korea, and Japan. Most are shrubs 1–3 m (3 ft 3 in – 9 ft 10 in) tall, but some are small trees, and others lianas reaching up to 30 m (100 ft) by climbing up trees. They can be either deciduous or evergreen, though the widely cultivated temperate species are all deciduous.

Hello there,
Most hydrangeas that I come across are white, so I couldn't help but notice this one at a local park. Edited with effects in Topaz Studio for Sliders Sunday. HSS!
Thank you so much for taking the time to look and for leaving me a comment. I do love hearing from you! Have a wonderful day!
