Isopedella leai. This might be the most beautiful spider I have ever seen. No scars or missing legs, hair perfectly in place. A mature spider by size so perhaps freshly moulted. Shouldn't she be photographed in a natural environment? Well, this is where I see these Huntsman - on my walls and usually just before rain. Somehow the very direct flash also seems just perfect.
My friend Marg tells of 'Agnetha' who accompanied her through the first (2020) lockdown at her shack on the River Murray. She was an enormous Huntsman who lived in the penthouse suite inside the outside loo (a serendipitous cavity in a wooden wall strut over the left side of the door). She accompanied Marg for the nine weeks she was in lockdown.
