This is a little treasure nestled along the Oregon coast and if you do not know it is there, you will breeze on by and miss it completely. Take the stairs from the parking lot and go right, when you reach the beach. Best (and safest) at low tide.
Live. Love. Smile. Hug. Laugh. Dream. Do. Create. Have fun. Be intense. Be audacious. Be unreasonable. Act impeccably. Breathe. Be you. Be different.

Sometimes we just need a hug. A hug where someone wraps their arms around you so tight and reminds you that everything will be okay. -- Author Unknown
It's been a long time since I posted this but it never fails to make me smile! This was taken in Brampton, Ontario, where we used to live, back in 2006. The tree is long gone now. The first time I saw it I couldn't believe it! Some of my newer followers might enjoy it.
As for my title... it wouldn't be the first time I've been called a 'tree hugger' and I'm happy to be one! 😂
NOTE: Thanks All!!
Happy to have my first Explore since Dec. of 2020!!
Hug me like it's goodbye
Hold me and whisper love to me
Hands in my hair
They give me warmth and a future
I'm not a sparrow
But like it I know how to fly
If you take me by the hand and take me with you far away….

This wonderful London Plane Tree is in my neighborhood. I like how it looks on a beautiful winter day.
The heavy snowfall seems to me a long time ago now. Although I've captured these two intertwined moorland hawthorns before in the snow, this time they looked like they were blasted with icing sugar.
"When walls close down on you, look in the center, there always will be some colours which don't fear our grey sides."
Trees need hugs to right? After all that's what everyone thinks we do on the west coast...
This little gal was up the tree with her sibling eating some berries this last summer and on her way down decided to snuggle in and give this tree a hug. Both made it down safely and were on they way with mom...
I'm glad to stock up on black bear shots from spring to fall and then reflect back on them when the bears are not around. I remember this day vividly: who I was with, the weather and the pleasant mood of this bear family...
I'm a broken record but appreciate all I get to see and witness every day :)
Under the bright blue sky of a spring afternoon, CN 5615 brings L546 north along the windy shores of Howe Sound at Britannia Beach, BC.
Nene Park - My lucky day! There were two group hugs going on in the same tree, I assume from the same family. there must have been at least 6 in each group, with the parent birds frantically trying to find grubs to feed them all with. It's a dull day and branches everywhere but I'm glad I had a go!
A shot of Marble flopped in our out house. He is clearly hugging Nova, and had his front paws wrapped around her.
Thankfully I was on hand with my IPhone to capture the moment.
Shot on IPhone, post processed in Lightroom.

An 'outtake' from today's 365.
I actually really like this one... perhaps I will add it later as an 'A'/'B' kind of thing again.. but for now I'll leave it as is.
I love trees :)

Ran to the park right before it got dark, and took this because it looked like the little branch had its arm around the setting sun :)
Hope you're all doing well <3

Bernie noticed that Gwendolyn seemed a bit sad.... maybe she needed a hug.... then, he wondered if there were others out there who might need a hug....
Today he wants me to make him a sign to hold while he sits in his usual spot in the front window. "Free Hugs".
I'm a bit worried there might be a lot of people knocking on the door.......
ps.... please don't mention the tape holding his little party hat in place.... because, if you remember....he is a bit sensitive about that....
Happy Teddy Bear Tuesday
Gwendolyn is a doll I made from paper clay in the style of Black Eyed Suzie Dolls... I wanted one of hers...but, they were so expensive I decided I could make my own. Check them out.
