This is my main gaming PC.
It consists of a Q9650 processor (overclocked to 3.6), an Asus Maximus Formula motherboard, 4GB of Corsair Dominator DDR2 (at 1200), OCZ Vendetta 2 heat pip cpu cooler, EVGA 9800GTX 1GB video card, Corsair 750 power supply, Creative X-Fi Titanium Pro sound card, a seagate 7200.12 1TB hard drive, 3 Samsung SH-223 DVD/RW drives and an Antec 900.2 case.
The case has a 230mm fan on top, two 120 mm fans in front and a 120 mm fan on the rear. All are variable speed and are lit by blue LEDs.
It is currently running Windows 7 Ultimate.

This is the new rig to go with the LCD TV. Wanted to build it before Christmas but ended up installing Windows 7 today. HDMI works beautifully!
Motherboard: Asus AT5IONT-I sports a passively cooled dual-core Atom D525 clocked at 1.8GHz. and an on-board nVidia graphics card.
Memory: 2x 1GB Hynix DDR3 SO-DIMM 1066MHz
Hard drive: 500GB Western Digital Caviar Green, low power, low noise
Case: Casetronic Travla C137 mini-ITX w/ 90 Watt power supply.
This is my new toy! I had to pick it up from FedEx today because they're a bunch of jerks who don't know how to deliver packages. Anyway, it's my HTPC now. Look it up if you don't know what that means.

HTPC is a Zotac IONITX-B-E with 2G RAM and an old hard drive running the XBMC Live distribution installed to the HD. I moved it into a smaller case a couple weeks after this picture was taken.

I bought this old cassette deck from a thrift store today. I don't know whether it works or not, and I don't care. I'm thinking of assembling HTPC (home teather PC) and this would make a great case for it!

This is now the motherboard of my HTPC...
I was very happy with the way this case turned out and fit in with my entertainment system. The AMD CPU runs VERY cool on the stock heatsink/fan combo (mid teens C idle, low 30's C heavy load) and is plenty fast for now so I'll keep it stock. The ATI Radeon HD 3200 video helps a lot with H264 hardware acceleration to handle those 1080p videos.

Currently, about 6TB of the space is full of videos, movies, photos, e-books, game images etc. I have about 3 more TB to load to the server once I add more HDD storage.
The case is an Antec 300 and I've modified it to run 6 120mm fans.

This is the HTPC setup. Running Vista 64 bit and Object Dock. It does look really nice on a 42" screen. :D I am checking Rainmeter out for more eye candy but since it is an HTPC setup I think the eye candy will be wasted.

Here is my bedroom setup. I use another Antec Sonata Case for the quiet factor and used my RCA 27" TV for the monitor. This box makes a great Link box to access all my content over my network from my Beyond TV Server.

I bought this old cassette deck from a thrift store today. I don't know whether it works or not, and I don't care. I'm thinking of assembling HTPC (home teather PC) and this would make a great case for it!
I'm leaving most of these buttons and switches to the case. They are decorative!

Given our dual focus on Sub Saharan Africa and low power computing, Blu Ray (and the onboard graphics and HDCP support required) hasn't really been a focus for us. But the new Nvidia Ion platform enables us to add to our existing Intel Atom systems and offer a small, low power, and silent (very small, low speed fan) Home Theatre PC, complete with Sony Blu Ray drive as standard and 4GB of RAM. It plays 1080p content smoothly whether from the ultra-fast desktop hard drive or off the Blu Ray drive, and it boasts a DVI, HDMI, and VGA port and Optical SP/DIF Audio Output. Runs Ubuntu 9.04 as standard though it's been tested with Windows 7, Vista, and XP.
For £399 (ex VAT), you get a standard configuration of 2GB and 500GB Drive (16MB Cache, ultra quiet). For an additional £50, you get it loaded with a 1TB Drive and 4GB RAM.

This was a quick project I put together to have a nearly fanless HTPC in the living room.
I say nearly fanless, as the only fan spinning 100% of the time is the quiet powersupply fan.
The CPU is a 30-watt Turion 64 Processor. This CPU runs with no fan 90% of the time. It only spins up when ripping at DVD or CD. Even then the fan used is a ultra quiet 60mm Zalman.
It does this by staying clocked at 800mhz 0.9volts unless more power is needed.
When needed a program called "Rightmark CPU Clock Utility" cranks the speed up to 2Ghz. Speedfan is used to monitor the temps and turns the fan on as needed.
In reality the fan never spins to a noticable level.
(Hat was put there by a fellow Austin Modder just for fun)
