a dress with nylon and heels to a casual sports event? No real women there even considered dressing like that for a fitness sports complex visit,

The SD40-2s served the C&NW well all over their railroad from their purchase on into Union Pacific ownership. I certainly saw a lot of them. The 6847 retains its original "stagecoach yellow", the attendant nicks and rust are just how the units that hadn't cycled through the paint shop looked in the last years of the C&NW. Pulling past the signal and through the switches it gains speed with its first coach train trip of the day. August 10, 2024.

How many dinosaur soldiers can you count?

Look, I ain't sayin' my Black Panther is extraordinary, but how the H E C K does the Easter bunny have more favorites?!

Was so excited that i was gong to be taken out for business lunch. A secretary seldom gets that! She had me pose outside the restaurant. She said " put your hand on your hip like a proper little sissy bimbo" After the picture I started following her toward the door. She laughed and said " Where do you think you are going?!" I said "In for lunch?" She just laughed loud and told me not a chance!

How is it possible that he looks so grown up and big here? When did this happen? I certainly didn't see it coming. He is getting so big so quickly. This mama wants to freeze him and savor this babyness just a bit longer.

Santa does not use USPS, FedEx, UPS and the like. Remember Dasher and the other reindeers led by Rudolph? They fly warp speed to every good boy and girl's home to bring lotsa toys and goodies.

I've been good Santa ;D)

Well, here is one of my favorite spots in Marbella! Lounging on the beach furniture, with a long cool drink, watching the sea, under the sun, at a beach bar called Trocadero!

How I take my pictures.

It's Rodeo time in Tucson and as we have done in years before we're parking cars in our lodge parking lot.

The money we raise goes out to community projects we have like providing school supplies to South Tucson's community K-12 charter school.

What you're seeing here is a pregame strategy meeting with the brethren, planning out the best way to get our parking lot filled.

Nah, it's actually all the brothers sitting around, drinking coffee, and wondering how long it's going to be before breakfast is served. There's not a strategy to parking cars, we just jam them in till we're full!

The Rodeo lasted 4 days and we were full all 4. This means plenty of notebooks, pencils, paper and crayons for the kids at Southgate Academy.

Made in Russia, 1960s or thereabouts. The usual hi-fi test instructions in English. There just *have* to be coded messages on there, right?

Incidentally, this is the only hi-fi test record I've had that actually alerted me to the fact that my speakers were out of phase. Hoorah!

Edit: turns out it was released in 1972, sez Discogs

Depends how good you live ’em. How much love inside a friend? Depends how much you give ’em.

– Shel Silverstein

How long had it been since he last took a nap? He couldn't really tell, at this point in time he couldn't even remember the last time he was truly asleep. He focused his energy on keeping his heart inside his body, but even that was a struggle sometimes.

Tell me how much and if I like you, these gorgeous smooth legs will bring you a high level of pleasure that you have never experienced before. Come on, don't be shy, tell Erica.

If this proves anything it's that the tide can come in quickly and that a hoodie can keep you warm when your feet are cold :-)

Panasonic include brilliant in camera time-lapse function in many of their cameras. I used my old LX100 to shoot 575 shots at 5 second intervals.. about 48 minutes. Till the tide came in too far and I called it quits. The sky was terribly boring.

I allowed the LX100 to render the time-lapse in to a 4k video at 25fps which yields a video of about 20 seconds length. Imported that in to iMovie and sped it up 4x so that it's less boring. Also used the "Ken Burns" feature on iMovie to progressively zoom in. Presume one shouldn't render the end result as 4k as it's been cropped. So rendered 1080x1920. At least it's only five seconds!

Exposure settings: F8; ISO locked to 200; Shutter Speed "Auto". As I anticipated a final 16:9 aspect ratio I pre-selected that shooting aspect ratio on the LX100. I also set the camera to manual-focus mode, remembered to focus first, and also turned IS off so it couldn't argue with the tripod. The LX100 is so suitable for this type of work as it has a physical aspect ratio switch on the lens barrel. Similarly it has a physical AF/MF/Macro switch so it's easy to quickly disable AF.

I'm impressed at how smoothly the Panasonic renders this. No flickering. Sadly the LX100 has some huge dust spots and even a streak on its sensor... oh well.

I was rather intrigued by this creek and its many fences, of one sort or another. I mean, how many do you need?

Hard to believe it was over six years ago when I took this picture. May 23, 2018, found Jim Burd, Gary Clark, and myself out at Pinola, IN on Norfolk Southern's Chicago Line. Our original intent was to catch NS's business train with the beautiful F's in charge. That was accomplished in the first 30 seconds that we were there. Stunned by how quickly that magic moment came and went, we burst into laughter, wondering what we were going to do with the rest of the day. Thankfully, we didn't laugh for long, for here came this stunning subject, a 60W , led by a very clean warbonnet, the 4712. Now, some people will complain that this isn't a real warbonnet, that it's lettered for the BNSF. I don't care, it looked pretty good to me, and fake or not, I'm going to shoot it and like it.
