One of the lads brought his Swegway "hoverboard" to church this morning and let me have a go after the service. A couple of them stayed very close, helping me to get started, taking photos with my iPhone and ready to catch me if I fell … I didn't but I only went a short distance and I was a bit apprehensive. This is the only photo taken while I was moving unassisted - I was helped off soon after :)
This could be the same guy, but there appears to be a slight height difference. However, the apparent height difference could be due to the angle at which the photos were shot.
This was one of those days of incursion by excursion into the West Country from the North West. The invasion was to have a look at the Heritage Railway onwards from Paignton toe Kingswear.
After all the years that have passed I am not sure how I managed to get off the train and into this location for a photo and then get back on for the onward journey to Kingswear..I must have been fleet of foot because I got one with the Peak running off the front of the stock before crossing over and coming back through the station. To do that kind of stunt now would need at least a hoverboard as use in Back to The Future! For those inclined to suggest a motorised wheelchair in the style of Johnny English, thanks for the kind thoughts!
It was early 1976 and we were watching throughout for any Class 52.s. As far as photos go, Bath Road depot and Taunton provided the taste of hydraulics Unfortunately that was restricted to 1036 inside Bath Road depot, just identified by the information in the head code panel. It was too far away to see if the number plate was higher than the nameplate.
The provision of a Peak for our trip onward from New Street was a bit of a surprise. A tottering Duff was expected so a Peak was much better really. It made up for the AC power provided from Manchester 86245 one way and 86247 the other. What a let down - we were hoping for an early type and not an 86/0 either.

Another car of tomorrow, this time in the familiar family truckster livery. I'd been wanting to do a station wagon for a while and the time was right. Wouldn't be a classic wagon without that wood paneling down the sides now, would it? When I was a kid our family wagon was a Plymouth Volare in blue with, yes, wood paneling. I remember it fondly.

What better way to scour the skies for places to loot?
These gliders have an actual glide function that initiates when you're "falling". Flying will allow all movement at any time, so there's no sky that's off limits!
The hoverboards are the rares and ultra rare, and just attach to fly anywhere you like. The thruster fires up on attach.
The ultra rare comes with a HUD that allows texture change to the glow design layer on the sail and thruster fire, AND also allows tinting of all the glow parts!

A Vo-Toa formerly in service to the late Hand of Artakha. She's skilled in combat atop her hoverboard, though is fully capable of unmounted combat.
She's equipped with a copper-tipped glaive and mask of rebounding, which allows her glaive to double as a spear.
So yeah this is the end result, for now, of a project I started over a year ago. I wanted to make a torso utilizing the Dragon Bolt head piece, and I also wanted to make a toa utilizing the corrupted mask of ice. I think I accomplished both of these goals.
This is the first Torso I've ever made from scratch, and I'm quite proud of it.
I may improve upon her in the future, as I know one of my goals is to have an actual coat/cloak made for her, similar in style to a previous picture I took of her.
So yeah....
