I was quite happy with autumn until the weather came back to its usual rainy mood. So maybe it's finally time to post, in remembrance of the nice sunny days we had since August, one of the very last LEGO photos from Hamburg.

I took this photo and then they came back a few minutes later and asked for a copy of the photo. The guy then offered to let me try his hoverboard and I accepted his offer. Immediately after stepping on the hoverboard I crashed into the concrete wall I had been sitting on and almost fell backwards. I thanked him for the opportunity to try it, but I told him it wasn't for me. I emailed the photo to him, but never got a response back, so I hope he typed his email address correctly, oh well.

Engine Room opens March 20th and we've got some nifty new things available. One of our three new products is the Vagabond Hoverboard. It comes with custom animations, customizable metal/wood/accent lights and the option to have it with or without running sounds. There are preset gradients on the light runners as options. The flames and runners you can custom tint yourself as well. The white version of the board is entirely custom tintable.

I took this portrait with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera and Canon EF 24-70mm F/2.8L USM zoom lens.
You go to the Big Apple, they'll want to see a big tomato. This one is 6 inches (~15 cm) in diameter and is folded from something that says it's 80 lb. text, which would be 120 gm², if I believed the label and not so sure I do. Heavy paper, we'll say heavy paper.
While I'm shooting this, I hear a wheelbarrow coming up behind me -- no uncommon sound, here, on the fringes of the swamp. (The swamp is one of the bigger depositories of garden waste in the area.) It's a teenage boy, on a hoverboard, dragging a wheeled bin. I say, I hear those things burst into flames. He says, Not this one, not yet. Very now, but it's nice to see that teenage boys still will not burn an unnecessary calorie, not on chores. Miss those days.
