For the sixth year in a row Airlie Gardens, in Wilmington, N.C., is excited to host their summer art exhibit, July 7th-October 28th 2018! Airlie Gardens has selected artists or teams of artists to decorate, paint, and otherwise adorn one of the 15 oversized 5-foot-tall fiberglass Garden Gnome models. These Garden Gnomes are placed throughout the grounds for guests to enjoy as part of their garden experience. The hope for this outdoor exhibit is it will be a collection that appeals to all. The artists' designs were selected based on creativity, craftsmanship, use of materials, the ability to appeal to all age groups, outdoor sustainability and durability. The exhibit is included in general garden admission and free for Airlie Members.
Congratulations to our 2018 Exhibit Artists!

Rurrenabaque is a small town in the north of Bolivia, on the Beni River. It is the capital of Rurrenabaque Municipality. In recent years it has become popular with international tourism as it is an easy gateway for visits to Madidi National Park (within the Bolivian rainforest), as well as the surrounding pampas. Locals commonly refer to the town by its shortened nickname, "Rurre".
Rurrenabaque is located in José Ballivián Province in Beni Department, Bolivia. Rurrenabaque Municipality, the fourth (municipal section) of José Ballivián Province, has 14,000 inhabitants out of which 8,000 live in Rurrenabaque itself. (Censo 2001, according to Instituto Nacional de Estadística de Bolivia).

Rurrenabaque is a lovely and friendly place, and also an ideal location for trips to the heart of Madidi national park with its rainforests and also to the surrounding pampas - and yes, some of the hotels are pretty old-school... but it really doesn't matter there!
This week our church hosted a youth mission project called River of Life. A huge undertaking as we hosted over 150 youth from all over the state of Georgia so that they could go out and do home repairs for the elderly & one child who has terminal cancer in our area. They worked on 13 houses in all. The kids were divided up into teams - carpentry, roofing, landscaping, and painting. This is what happened: They put in sidewalks, painted houses, roofed, replaced rotting wood, landscaped, replaced doors, locks, & broken sinks, built a swing, some wheelchair ramps, decks, and new porches, they loved, learned, listened, shared, prayed, found out that maybe their lives aren't that bad after all, they made new friends, built confidence & pride, and learned that maybe there are some things more important than texting.

Shamma-e-Ala Hazrat | Host Muhammad Ali Raza....
Ahmed Raza Khan (Arabic: أحمد رضا خان, Persian, Urdu: احمد رضا خان, Hindi: अहमद रज़ा खान), commonly known as Ahmed Rida Khan in Arabic, or simply as "Ala-Hazrat" (14 June 1856 CE or 10 Shawwal 1272 AH – 28 October 1921 CE or 25 Safar 1340 AH), was an Islamic scholar, jurist, theologian, ascetic, Sufi, Urdu poet, and reformer in British India,[4] and the founder of the Barelvi movement.[5][6][7] Raza Khan wrote on numerous topics, including law, religion, philosophy and the sciences.
Early life and family
Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi's father, Naqi Ali Khan, was the son of Raza Ali Khan.[8][9][10] Ahmed Raza Khan Barelvi belonged to the Barech tribe of Pushtuns.[9] The Barech formed a tribal grouping among the Rohilla Pushtuns of North India who founded the state of Rohilkhand. Khan's ancestors migrated from Qandahar during the Mughal rule and settled in Lahore.[8][9]
Khan was born on 14 June 1856 in Mohallah Jasoli, Bareilly Sharif, the North-Western Provinces. The name corresponding to the year of his birth was "Al Mukhtaar". His birth name was Muhammad.[11] Khan used the appellation "Abdul Mustafa" ("servant of the chosen one") prior to signing his name in correspondence.[12]
At the age of four he completed the recitation of the Quran[citation needed]. At the age of 13, he completed his Islamic Education as well as reached puberty after which he began issuing Fatwas[citation needed].
Khan saw an intellectual and moral decline of Muslims in British India.[13] His movement was a mass movement, defending popular Sufism, which grew in response to the influence of the Deobandi movement in South Asia and the Wahhabi movement elsewhere.[14]
Today the movement is spread across the globe with followers in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Turkey, Afghanistan, Iraq, Sri Lanka, South Africa, United States, and UK among other countries. The movement now has over 200 million followers.[15] The movement was largely a rural phenomenon when begun, but is currently popular among urban, educated Pakistanis and Indians as well as South Asian diaspora throughout the world.[16]
Many religious schools, organizations and research institutions teach Khan's ideas,[17] which emphasize the primacy of Islamic law over adherence to Sufi practices and personal devotion to the prophet Muhammad.
