L’hosta se repère facilement au jardin : une grande touffe au feuillage large et décoratif, où le vert et le jaune clair se marient pour le plaisir des yeux. Il se plait à l’ombre et si les fleurs sont de la partie, il tolérera aussi l’ensoleillement. Ainsi, il habille les sous-bois, les massifs et les bordures. Souvent, il prend place en pot, apportant sa touche à une terrasse ou un balcon. Contre la limace, son ennemi juré, il a aujourd’hui plus d’une parade à son actif !

Out on one of my shoots I walked down to the bridge over the creek that feeds my pond. While trying to capture a Catbird Portrait I took a few clicks of a long dead tree stump...most likely Locust...since it has endured so long...it was a dead stump 21 years ago when I arrived. Really nothing...but that sums up a lot of things.

Sundsby is mentioned as early as 1388, but its history dates back to the 1500s and is strongly associated with the legendary Margaret Huitfeldt, who settled in Sundsby 1635 and died there 1683rd
Tjörn bought Sundsby manor 2003rd Since 2006 the area has been available to the public, and it quickly became a popular destination for visitors.
Evergarden Equestrian hosted a trail ride that ventured across sandy shores and winding paths through the tropics! Laughter was shared as we took moments to explore and take pictures of the beautiful landscape. I highly reccomend anyone to join the trail rides hosted by Evergarden Equestrian, and hope to see you next time!

Från kronogård till utarrenderad egendom
Även från 1600-talet finns uppgifter om skatt som betalades i form av mjöl och ål. Ålgård var en kronogård (ägd av staten) fram till 1689. Då donerades gården till kronobefallningsmannen (kronofogde) Johan Seth, som också bodde där något år. Gården förblev i släktens ägo till 1827.
Därefter kom en period med många ägarbyten, ibland bolag med flera ägare, ibland enstaka eller enskild ägare. Fåtal ägare har själva varit mjölnare. De som ägde fastigheten fick som regel en viss procentdel av intäkterna från kvarn, såg och ålfiske. Periodvis har ytterligare en arrendator eller en dräng tagit hand om djur och jordbruk.
Den ursprungliga kvarnen låg vid Grindsbyvattnets naturliga utlopp. Vattennivån i Grindsbyvattnet reglerades genom ett dämme fäst i berghällarna en liten bit nedströms. Järnbultarna från de gamla dammluckorna finns fortfarande kvar alldeles under den lilla träbro som byggts över vattnet.
