The beautiful 250 year old Sandy Hook Lighthouse, located on Sandy Hook, New Jersey. The lighthouse is located in the National Park Service's Gateway National Recreation Area. This lighthouse was completed in 1764 and is the oldest working lighthouse in the United States. It is located at the tip of Sandy Hook in the former Fort Hancock. I visited here as a child and was very happy to make it back on Tuesday August 5, 2014.
James Hook Lobsters, squeezed between the Moakley Bridge (left) and the Northern Avenue Bridge (right) in Boston Financial District. A year after I took this picture it burned down. The building and 60,000 pounds (27,000 kg) of lobsters were destroyed.
it was one of the rods at the yurt. i didnt plan on fishing, so i just tossed this in to go through the motions. i had fun just castingin the ocean. i did catch a star fish...well i hooked his leg. let him go though.

This hook by twig is the perfect compliment to your weaving loom.

Drill a couple of holes in each and I will be done.
Not much more than stripping them of their bark. Where there was some whittling involved, the wood was like iron after having dried for about a year.

Gabe took this shot of me holding a primative steel baling hook in my mouth. I should have bought it for six bucks, but I don't have any use for it and I wasn't in the mood to carry it around all day.
Some hooks left in the back yard by some other tenants. I have no idea what fish they might catch, but I do know there is quite a ....colony? community? school?.....of turtles that hang about in the body of water back there.
