We got an evening wood delivery for our summer projects. First step will be replacing the flooring in our living room. The rest will be used in the outbuilding.

To prep for the installation of plywood sheets for the walls the cross members we installed years ago nearly all had to be moved. Still a lot more to do.

I rode my bike out to my parent's house after work. Although I neglected to take a "before" shot, I removed the 30 year-old carpet from this stairway. It was quite a dirty, dusty, messy job.
The picture on the left shows the cleaned stairs following carpet removal. The picture on the right shows the carpet pads that I tacked down.
The entire process took about 4 hours start to finish.

Another pain in the butt. I broke two ceramic / glass bits drilling through the tile and had to cut a notch out of the tub (see note) to get it to fit.
With temperatures climbing well out the negatives, we thought we had weathered the cold. Not so. There was a strange rattling, groan. A loud thunk and then the sound of running water. A water pipe in a disused basement shower had ruptured. I should have turned that valve off years ago.
The bathroom on possession day. While slick and giving privacy, that medicine cabinet cut the room in half visually.
