I'll light the fire, you place the flowers in the vase that you bought today
Staring at the fire for hours and hours while I listen to you
Play your love songs all night long for me, only for me
Come to me now and rest your head for just five minutes, everything is good
Such a cozy room
The windows are illuminated by the evening sunshine through them
Fiery gems for you, only for you

Walking with 2 friends in the Humber Bay Shores Park tonight. We can see our Condo building in the distance.
My Dad used to always say that a joke that needs explaining is not a joke.

I wish I were with you, I couldn't stay
Every direction leads me away
Pray for tomorrow, but for today
All I want is to be home
Stand in the mirror, you look the same
Just looking for shelter, from the cold and the pain
Someone to cover, safe from the rain
All I want is to be home
Echoes and silence, patience and grace
All of these moments I'll never replace
Fear of my heart, absence of faith
All I want is to be home
All I want is to be home
People I've loved, I have no regrets
Some I remember, some I forget
Some of them living, some of them dead
All I want is to be home
When they took that sign down there were hopes it would find a new home elsewhere. But no; it's memorialized on a mural along with other bits of Brooklyn history, but that's it. Gowanus, Brooklyn

monday. gasadalur.
we did not go sights hunting on the faroe islands...what a surprise...
...we could easily blame the bad weather but...it is the faroe islands...what do you expect...
...i guess we were just tired...burnt out by the epic six nights round island trip of iceland before we got here...that was a six night journey that included the snaefellsjokull peninsular and westfjords and...a trip up north to husavik for the newly opened hot bath...
...anyway...we did not do much here on the faroe islands because...we were just exhausted...so...we...just...chilled...
...we did however made it to gasadalur...because it is so close to the place we chilled...
...so...here you go...
...the most done to death picture of the faroe islands...
...just that...this one is a bit different...
...it has got sui and jie in it...

Home is where
The mushrooms grow
Where the magic of living
Is all you know
Where light tells stories
And people dream
Home is where
There's lots of ice cream

Sister to the Fitzgerald the steamer Arthur B. Homer is up-bound on the St. Clair River at Port Huron, Michigan on her springtime first trip of the season. The Bethlehem Steel boats would all lay-up in Erie, Pennsylvania for the winter. This run was not the usual route for their ore loads normally to Lake Michigan and those south end steel mills - April 20, 1980.
One from the archives. Taken at Briton Ferry last June. My OH and I drove past there today on our way home in driving rain and we were joking that there was no chance of getting any shots there today so thought I would have a look in the archives and found this shot - hope you like it!
