"Holi Teabag, Batman!"
Today's image came to me in a vision.............but for the life of me, I couldn't find the box of holi powder I had purchased last year. I've intended to use it for another concept, but have not gotten (strange word) around to it. I originally shot this image with a teabag full of flour. It sucked, but I was minutes away from posting it when I found the powder. Thank goodness!! I find this version to be more colorful. So....I cut open an old teabag, and spooned in the colors of the rainbow. ROYGBV, but backwards. With the bag closed, I shut off the lights, and flicked the teabag!! By the way, feel free to mentally insert dirty jokes as you please. I flicked the thing five times, and I like three of the images. My other favorite sincerely looks like a solar system. Perhaps I'll post it later. Anywho, there is a strip bank directly out of view, at camera-right. It is the only light, as I wanted to avoid throwing any light on the black background. For anyone curious, I shot at ISO 400, as I wanted to use the strobe's lowest power possible. I was around 1/128th power.The reasoning is that the flash duration is shorter at lower powers. The shorter the flash duration....the greater the chance of avoiding blurring. I did all I could to freeze the powder's motion. Thanks for stopping by for a spot of tea!!!
