A typical 'show the motion' shot. Stand still, focus at where the car will be. 100th of a second shutter speed. Turn with car. Click. It's for class, and I do think it illustrates motion well.

The mountain peak has basalt sills which look like the bristly hair on a pigs back. In this shot it looks like a giant erupting volcano.

What a quaint little deli cafe on the top of Hogsback Mountain! The two log fireplaces inside kept patrons warm and cozy in the cool mountain air of Hogsback. The cuisine was superb! There are free tourist brochures on the shelf for the taking. Scenic gardens!

After a morning of food preparation, I took a late afternoon walk up The Mount to the Hog’s Back. There was a chilly wind on the Cathedral view side but the other (south) side was sheltered and offered a wonderful cloudscape with 180° views.
