Como una pareja de enamorados, esperando la puesta de Sol hasta la eternidad.
Por lo menos tienen suerte de que no les llevará la muerte y su guadaña en forma de setero dominguero, o eso quiero creer. No tienen ningún valor culinario.

This image was shot during my B&W photography workshop held in London last weekend. Many thanks to all that attended and made it such a great weekend. We had really amazing conditions yesterday morning in Canary Wharf, a blanket of fog!! My favourite kind of weather for photography
If you would like to attend my next B&W photography workshop on the 29th and 30th of November, please email vulturelabs@gmail.com
Thanks for comments and faves, Hope you all have a great week ahead.

Manual flash via synch lead from camera left onto nearest post set at 1/32 power
Yup, thats right, fill flash on a landscape shot - I wanted to bring out a bit of the textures and detail in the nearest post which would have otherwise been almost slihouetted. I still had to use the dodge tool a little though but the flash did help. This is another shot from yesterday's stint at Rocky island.

Title - that cloud bank delayed the sunrise a little.
Otra que dejé en su día sin revelar porque me gustaban más las luces de sus compañeras de sesión... Con la siempre grata compañía de mis buenos amigos "Canonikos" Iñaki R y Jesús.
Had a little walk down the seafront as I was itching to press the shutter button on my camera as I was getting withdrawal symptoms spending so much time away from it.
Took a few shots using my Hitech pro stopper to try and master this new piece of kit.
This was taken using my Hitech pro stopper combined with my Lee 0.9 ND grad.
This was an exposure of 308 seconds made possible by my tripod and trusty cable release and bulb mode.
I have got better at the colour correction by doing it manually which takes a few seconds but there is always a funny tint to my pictures with this filter.
Also there is definently a softness with this filter which is annoying, I have read this is where the Lee big stopper beats the Hitech as the Lee has much better contrast and clarity.
Anyway when converted to mono a lot of these sins get hidden which is great but not so good if you want to keep the picture in colour.
Post Processing
Converted to mono with efex.
Used control points along the sky to darken it down in efex.
Added an 's' curve for contrast.
Dodged and burned to taste.
Selected the sky only and reduced the grain to smooth it out.
Finished off with unsharp mask for detail and clarity.
Thankyou for looking and leaving wonderful comments.

Today was my first day out with my brand new Formatt Hitech Pro ND Fitlers, i have upgraded to a square system becasue i was fed up with the scew in filters!! Too much on and off when im recomposing. So far so good, much easier to alter composition! I purchased the Joel Tjintjelaar set which includes a 3 6 and 10 stop along with the Modular holder and x2 adapter rings.

The sky wasn't as dramatic in this shot of Hastings jetty so decided to go with the colour version.
The sky was quite bright due to the sun being near by and not being blocked by the clouds.
Cropped the edges off to frame nice and tight on the bird colony.
For a two minute exposure really pleased with the amount of detail in the seagulls.
Used my Hitech pro Stopper and Lee 0.9 Hard ND Grad.

Myself and Greg headed down to Brooklyn for our first shoot together in New York City. It turns out that the weather was on our side, so we manage to get a great sunset coupled with some storm clouds. Sadly during the shoot, we got chased off by a park ranger in a massive hat, but we relocated (slightly) and got some decent shots.
This is a blend of two images, one for the water and the lights, and the other for the sky and buildings. If you're interested in learning digital blending, then contact me for skype / email lessons, or I can arrange private or group tutorials in the London area. If you're in another country, keep an eye on where I'm travelling through Facebook and I might be able to teach in your country soon!

Sennen Cove, gave this a 16:9 crop as there was a big mass of seaweed to the bottom left of the image, think it works ok myself may even use this crop more often.
Twenty minutes is my longest exposure so far, I must of looked a bit odd pacing up & down to keep warm that early in the morning.
It was a good feeling to be out with the camera again though, can't beleive it's been three weeks since I was last out, and it is May next weekend.
Best to view in Lightbox, press L.
