Tonights image is again from a local wood taken last Monday morning. A simple image taken with the 200mm lens pointed downwards. Thankfully the f20 generated enough DOF to avoid focus stacking. The R5 can do automatic focus stacking which seems quite a cool feature and I tried it once... but without reading the manual and I totally messed it up... I defo need to take the time to learn how to use the feature properly! One to add to my list for this weekend along with updating the firm wear.
Just back to my hotel after a long day at work... so I'll eat dinner then start trying to catch up with your work!
Big old Wisteria (Wisteria floribunda 'rosea') vine just about to flower. The golden little leaves are just as dramatic and exquisite as the flowers.

Another shot from Caerphilly Castle on Saturday evening. After the sun went down I took a walk around the other side of the castle and behind me there was a massive bank of mean looking cloud given a pink hue from the setting sun. With thunderstorms hitting most of the south of England I was hoping this bank of cloud would put on a show, but Wales was spared from the storms and I didn't hear a hint of thunder.

Nachdem die Schwarzwaldbahn aufgrund von Bauarbeiten im Oktober und November 2017 gesperrt war, mussten die Schwarzwaldbahngarnituren den Umweg über das hintere Höllental nehmen, um in die Werkstatt nach Freiburg zu gelangen.
Da im hintern Höllental noch keine Oberleitung hängt, wurde die Überführung mit BR 218 realisiert.
Leider fanden diese Überführungen immer nur Nachts statt, weshalb etwas in die Trickkiste gegriffen werden musste...

Our summer is gone in New Zealand. Torrential rain here today and worse on the West Coast of our South Island where slips and bridge washouts have cut the roads. It was estimated 4 inches ( 100mm of rain per hour) for 24 hours. A state of emergency is declared there.
