Mittlerweile haben wir die Sonne im Meer versinken sehen. Aber auch dieser zurückhaltende Sonnenuntergang hinter Wolken hat mir gefallen.

I was going for a minimalist shot here. When I saw it on the big screen I saw a hint of color there. Just a hint.

Behind the Ackergold, the St. Salvator Monastery near Bad Griesbach is a former Premonstratensian monastery in the Rottal.
Another image taken at Barr Lake with my good friend Linda. I've posted a similar image but I liked the vignetting on this one the hint of reflections and the lines made by the branches. There's a branch on the left that looks like a snake....it isn't.

The Light of the world--Yeshua
Romans 10:9-13
9 that iif you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

In the distant past, while Summer was pleasant, this would not be a sight that I liked seeing in mid-August.
Tropical Storm Henri Warning is in effect for us! 😂
Happy Day to you!!
Some of the leaves show fall colors, when hit by the early morning sun. The local Canada geese fly over Heather Farm Pond in Walnut Creek, California.

This sunset is in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia.
I never realised until now that a Kangaroo was watching me as I took four or five photos. Can you see it? Hint- it is in a clear space between two bushes.
This long time abandoned farmhouse isn't much to look at but the lace curtains in a single upstairs window hint at some elegance in its distant past.
Evening all... a productive day in the household today getting all the wrapping done and pressies delivered to all those we won't see on the day!
I waited for ages on this composition hoping for a glimmer of light... im not a particularly patient photographer though so I won't sit for an age... especially if I look to the sky and see there is little or no hope of it getting better. This did seem like an age though... prob 15 min! I know some do wait a lot longer and the persistence can pay off with cracking light but not me. After I got this hint of light on the peaks and in the valley I decided to head back to the car to go find another composition instead. Id set myself a bit of a challenge as I was only in Glencoe for the day to go to the popular locations and just take one composition I liked then move on. I could take a few shots of that comp to fine tune it but basically commit to one final product from each location! It lead to a fun and creative day especially with the weather being quite a challenge.
Das Hermelin lief hinter einer leichten Kuppe und so brachte die tiefe Perspektive nur den schnellen Jäger in die Schärfe, hingegen der Hinter- wie auch der Vordergrund wurden "Butterweich".
Nature can set up extraordinary shows. The stage is immense, the amazing lights, the infinite extras and the unlimited budget for special effects.

In reality this photo dates back to the confinement period, walking alone at impossible hours, I never met anyone. So I could also experience this possibility of panoramic with the phone. Then I added texture and processing on photoshop.
The world has resumed its path in just a month here. I don't notice big changes in people, apart from the mask and lack of money. All good intentions, altruism, empathy, vanished in the blink of an eye. And our politicians have never stopped fighting after a first hint of feigned solidarity.
I miss those long timeless walks ....
I hope you are well, I wish everyone a good week.
