Even though it wasn't quite the season yet, the colors and feel in the air were all hinting at Autumn being right around the corner. Walking around a body of water outdoors in Florida in September is a hot and muggy experience, but taking in the sights in Bristol was quite pleasant, as they were cool enough to be comfortable while warm enough to still want to be outside. It was quite enjoyable.
Does anyone know why the tow line was in the water? I'm guessing it was to mark where the deeper water drop off was.
My friend Philippe, captured while there was just a hint of daylight in the room.
I had my old Canon 100mm 3.5 LTM lens mounted on the small Fuji X-E4.
I did not quite nail focus, but I like the picture nonetheless.
I could not see any hint of the ruby crown so I'm thinking female, please correct me if I am wrong.
A tiny bird seemingly overflowing with energy, the Ruby-crowned Kinglet forages almost frantically through lower branches of shrubs and trees. Its habit of constantly flicking its wings is a key identification clue. Smaller than a warbler or chickadee, this plain green-gray bird has a white eyering and a white bar on the wing. Alas, the male’s brilliant ruby crown patch usually stays hidden—your best chance to see it is to find an excited male singing in spring or summer.
Size & Shape
Kinglets are tiny songbirds with relatively large heads, almost no neck, and thin tails. They have very small, thin, straight bills.
Color Pattern
Ruby-crowned Kinglets are olive-green birds with a prominent white eyering and white wingbar. This wingbar contrasts with an adjacent blackish bar in the wing. The “ruby crown” of the male is only occasionally visible.
Behavior
These are restless, acrobatic birds that move quickly through foliage, typically at lower and middle levels. They flick their wings almost constantly as they go.
Habitat
Ruby-crowned Kinglets breed in tall, dense conifer forests such as spruce, fir, and tamarack. In winter and during migration, also look for them in shrubby habitats, deciduous forests, parks, and suburbs.

I made this time stack by combining 177 photos into one image.
Smoke from wildfires often obscured our views of the Absaroka range, but not here. This is just a foothill, not one of the real peaks.

From yesterday's trip up to the Santa Fe ski basin.
The only color change we found, a couple aspen branches.
Nothing was yet changing lower down the mountain at the Aspen Vista picnic ground and trail.
Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday!
Yosemite is not exclusively a landscape venue. There are some great opportunities for close-up work. We were constantly moving leaves around to get that perfect "Fall shot"...... I am pleased to announce that the leaf in this picture is the real thing. Nature stuck it there. So from me to you......Happy Fall.
The trouble with winter…..Is that I find that I don’t get around so much to take so many photos, with the darker and damp days making taking the camera out a waste of time….And that can be a real problem when like today…. all I really want to do is to share a photo with you that has a hint of love running through the image……With no words needed …….So I thought….Let’s look through our yesterday years and see what we could find……which would come close to showing the look of love that we are sometimes blessed to see..….So after some time…..I came across this photo taken about 14 months ago of Misty and Billie Jean…(Belle)……And I thought…..That’s not so bad……I think it fits all you and i have been taking about here ….So what do you think……
