First film through my Agfa Isola II using Fuji Velvia 100F. Lessons learned: 1) You've got to get the exposure spot on with slide film, otherwise scanning is a nightmare! 2) The Isola II is capable of quality images far beyond my abilities. Surely this is no toy cam?!!!

A little block of urethane foam. I kind of glossed over pictures of the build process here... oops. This block will cover the pour spouts

Because I don't think I bragged about this properly before to Graybandit! :D

This mini hinge is one inch long, and each leaf is like 3/8 or less inch wide. Perfect for this project. I think on the catalogue it is listed as small box hinges. They are quite thick, so I had to cut a recess on the edge of each plank so the hinge can be inlaid, and the planks can be close together when the cover is closed over the box.

Without real chisels, I had to resort to using a utility knife and carve the recess out. Almost cut the tip off my thumb in the process. I need chisels.

Here's the little brass(?) pig those dice live inside of. He belonged to my mum and when I was little I used to pester her to give it to me. She always said she'd leave it to me when she died. It is truly a mystery object: hinged at the neck and hollow inside. The tail has a ring so it could be hung from a chain and on its back is engraved 'RMS Majestic'. RMS Majestic was a White Star ship that was converted from a captured German battleship in World War I. Someone who knows about these things said he thought it might be made of pinchbeck metal.

A public park west of the Olympic Village, at a bend in the waterfront with great views towards downtown. Besides providing green space and a play area, it also detains stormwater, restores habitat, and reuses construction material.
