Hand forged 16 inch strap hinges

I love cracked paint and tiny details - I don't like the toothpaste colour so much, but neither did I like it so much in black and white. Ho hum.

A room with a view.

An adapter bolts to the hinge plate on the door, then the extension brackets bolt to the sides of the post.

This is possibly my favorite buckle to date. It was unfortunately claimed during a battle in the thunderdome at Black Rock City 2010. With any luck, one of the death guild crew is enjoying it.

365 Days in Colour - 18/31 silver. The silver hinge on my shower door. I was lucky to even get a picture yesterday. I ate something bad and was sick as a dog for about 24 hours. It was miserable.

4.5" hinges. These are painted black too. The detail isn't nearly as detailed as in the picture at Van Dykes. This stuff is made in India in some sweat shop where 100 people work for nothing and one person lives like a king.

US Coast Guard Station Sandy Hook

Tucked into the sprawling Coast Guard base at the former Fort Hamilton is USCG Station Sandy Hook, part of the US Coast Guard's 1st District.

The station is home to several small boats and also has a deep-water pier for visting Coast Guard Cutters which are usually forward deployed to the station during foul weather. US Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 22 is also co-located at Station Sandy Hook.

Window shutter on a cabin in the Great Smokey Mountiains National Park, Tennessee, USA. See the previous photo for a close-up of one of the hinges.

The name of this piece is "Protection". It was my second hinged piece project. Etched copper on outside and inside and patinated to make the design POP. Hangs on a 16" leather cord with silver clasp. The stones are labradorite, carnelian, brass, and coconut for added protection. Brings the wearer protection from the evil eye.
