Ernie's having trouble moving around today, between his normal arthritis and a new limp on a one of his front legs. I had to coax him down the stairs for 20 minutes this morning before he could go outside to take a leak. So when I got home, we snuggled and I let him out on the deck to eat sticks and assess the safety of his kingdom.

Before the fire, Tweek was very overweight. We had him on a diet and everything. He couldn't even clean himself properly so it was kinda bad. But since he fasted a week from his injuries, he's back to normal cat weight. He has these adorable batwings of skin that droop really low under his arms too.
He's not quite adjusted to the idea that he is so svelte. He forgets and thinks that he is still a big round guy. The last two days, he's realized that he's thin and it finally seems to have clicked. He keeps walking all over the narrow windowsills and staring out at the water. So I moved over the scratching post. He was terrified of trying to get above the first tier because it kinda tips a little bit on the carpet. Now he's realized that he can fit and it does not move. He's pretty much claimed this spot as his own now and bullies any other cat to get off of it when he wants to lay here. So funny.
