Another of those situations where notices of a missing pet have been posted on every corner around the neighborhood. Those of us who have and love pets can easily imagine what an agonizing time it is when others have to put up posters like this. And we hope the day never comes when we're the ones who have to experience the searching, waiting and wondering that's involved.
Luckily no one was hurt. When asked what I was doing by one of the cops, I told him I was working on my Buckeye News Hawk Award.
These attracted the attention of Watanabe, who engaged him from 1918. The series containing "Twelve Scenes in Tokyo" was published between 1919 and 1921, based on sketches Hasui made on the outskirts of the city. Hasui depicts Tokyo with a romantic gaze. He portrays the growing city as a typical Japanese village, rather than the modern metropolis the city was gradually becoming.

As I watched him look at her from across the room before the ceremony, I could tell that Steve really loved his soon-to-be new wife Stephanie. She was nervous, but kept calm by the side of her family and friends. As her father walked her down the aisle, I caught a peak at Steve watching her with the cutest of smiles imaginable. Their small autumn wedding was a beautiful success as they celebrated their new live’s together by the side of their family and friends. Stephanie and Steve’s gorgeous fall wedding took place at the Delta Chelsea Hotel in Toronto, Ontario on October 24, 2009.

Grass: What are you staring at?
Mr. Lion: ... Trying to figure out what Mr. Might-be Vampire is thinking. He has been pushing his luck, kept showing me those tasteless dog meat.. (grinding his teeth)
Grass: Dog meat? Heard that your dog friend was looking for you but you weren't around. Then he suddenly "disappeared".
Mr. Lion: Oh! You mean he finally left Mr. Might-be Vampire? Disappeared into the thin air?
Grass: No, not that.
Mr. Lion: Oh you mean he has been x by his owner and made into dog meat?
Grass: No, not that as well.
Mr. Lion: What are you trying to say?
Grass: Your dog friend was communicating with the pots and when he was asked a very important question, he just left the conversation without a word.
Mr. Lion: That's NOT good? Has he been picking up the bad habits of his owner? Becoming irresponsible? Creating more ?? in the mind than clearing them?
Grass: No, I don't think so. They were speculating that his owner might have shut him up.
Mr. Lion: Hmm..
(10 seconds elapsed...)
Grass: Thinking?
Mr. Lion: Yes, focusing on the topic.
Grass: Any conclusion?
Mr. Lion: He only dare to do all these behind the scene. Ask him to come here and show me raw dog meat, or show me how he mistreats his dog, and I will show him what I can do.
Grass: We all know he wouldn't dare to do such things in front of you.
Mr. Lion: Oh, because I am Mr. Lion? Then he is not living up to his name.
Grass: Mr. Might-be Vampire?
Mr. Lion: That is just his nickname. If he is a man, he should be like a man.
Grass: What should a man do?
Mr. Lion: Dare to do it behind the scene? Dare to do it in front of me.
Grass: Maybe he is really afraid of you? Since your big paw might scratch him?
Mr. Lion: OK then. I will give him another option to prove that he is a man. Visit my neighbor, my neighbor doesn't have paws, and always keep her claws short. Show her raw dog meat on the screen, or
Grass: Or?
Mr. Lion: Or, show her his dog and,
Grass: And?
Mr. Lion: And, if the dog is sleeping, tell her the hardships his dog had been through.
Grass: Why must he tell her that when the dog is sleeping?
Mr. Lion: So that my dog friend wouldn't listen to what he says and start to weep about his past!
I caught him in my college lawn, I was waiting for the bird to get out of the shadow so that I could get a well lit pic, but he thought otherwise :(
i bought a zine from him. it's called tranny bear loves trout, and it's about a road trip that he and a girlfriend took dressed up in a tranny bear and a trout costume. all true, apparently. it comes with a cd of songs they wrote about it, and there are pictures of the trip up on flickr. the whole "art this way" set is at starryeyez.
Poor Mr. Blackie -- We keep telling him this is the fashionable look for cats! We had to have him almost completely shaved and groomed in late November 2006 because he had developed very matted areas in his fur that were beyond rescue by brushing. I had previously been able to brush his fur out regularly by getting hold of his old collar, but when that broke I couldn't hold him still long enough to brush him. Of course, he was rather self-conscious about it at first but he fairly quickly got used to it. His constant little sidekick Jaws -- who regards Blackie as his dad -- didn't recognise him at first when we brought Blackie home after his grooming! But a side benefit of the grooming is that in Blackie's self-conscious few days this once semi-feral cat -- a very intelligent big alpha male who is a great character and one of my all-time favourites -- became a lot more affectionate with my wife and me. Now Blackie is much more willing to come and sit beside either of us on the sofa or bed. A weird thing is that where the groomer had to cut down his fur particularly deep to get rid of the very matted areas, which left him looking like he had patches, the black fur has grown back much more quickly than on the rest of his coat - so now Blackie looks like a piebald black and grey cat with a bit of black fuzz just starting to cover the rest of his coat!
Found him out side my flat, I have no idea what his/her species is.
-Edit-
Found out what he/she is -> Lime Hawk-moth (Mimas tiliae) -> en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mimas_tiliae
We met him first a block away while we were walking and he let us pet him in the street. A few days later he showed up at the door and wanted in. He looks so much like my Darwin it's freaky! Dar died in 2003. :(
We haven't seen him since I took this picture (a week ago Friday) I think the neighborhood cat Eddie scared him off.
