I told you this looked really good. It's a really simply look, you can wear it anytime. And yes, I dyed my hair orangish and did blonde highlights. Ignore my creepy face lol
Senator Chris Coons, First Lady Tracey Quillen Carney and Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long highlighted a list of dignitaries who spoke at the June 21 grand opening of the Food Bank of Delaware’s new facility in Glasgow. The grand opening was followed by the nonprofit’s inaugural Outrun Hunger 5K on June 23.
Sen. Coons praised the work of Food Bank CEO and President Patricia Beebe and called the new 80,000-square-foot facility in the Pencader Corporate Center, with double the space of the previous facility in Newark, a “bodacious plan.” The Food Bank serves many of the almost 115,000 Delawareans who are food insecure, meaning they aren’t certain about how they will get their next meal.
The First Lady said the new facility with culinary and warehouse training classes, educational and nutritional programs, an on-site farm, farm stand and café, and food distribution through a network of more than 500 hunger relief partners is part of Delaware’s community fabric. “We’re a little closer to being who we should be,” she said. “We are a little closer to being who we can be.”
Brother Ronald Giannone, president and CEO of the Ministry of Caring, offered the blessing, saying, “This will make a difference to the poor and the hungry.”
Outgoing Board President Julie Miro Wenger said, “This place is more than a building. … It will be a catalyst for our neighbors and our community.”
“We could not be this state without the Food Bank,” said Fred Sears, co-chair of the nonprofit’s capital campaign, which has $2.5 million remaining toward its goal. The relocation to the new facility cost about $15.5 million.
Said Beebe, who is the longtime CEO of the Food Bank, “This is a stirring example of what we can accomplish in Delaware.”
On June 23, more than 200 runners and walkers turned out for the inaugural Outrun Hunger 5K held throughout the Pencader Corporate Center.

The Bartlett Arboretum is a private fifteen acre park in rural Belle Plaine, Kansas, that evolved in early 20th century from a recreational park and conservation area to an arboretum with formal gardens and experimental plots and nurseries. The arboretum largely reflects the influences of professional landscape architect and horticulturist Glenn Bartlett, his wife and floral expert Margaret Bartlett, and Glenn’s father who first purchased the property in 1910 to be used as a public athletic field for the small community and as a natural reserve complete with water fowl and non-indigenous trees. After years of being under maintained, the Bartlett Arboretum is currently being restored with the goal for it to serve as an educational and events space.

Perspective is everything. While at first glance this may be mistaken for a door pull, it is actually a very large vent cap.
Thanks for taking the time to visit these photos. They were all taken during lunch on a Friday after a particularly difficult morning at work. I needed to walk and think, and put things back in perspective. And as those of you on this site know looking through the lens of the camera is a great way to see things differently.
