Venice / Venezia is a city in northeastern Italy sited on a group of 118 small islands separated by canals and linked by bridges. It is located in the marshy Venetian Lagoon which stretches along the shoreline, between the mouths of the Po and the Piave Rivers. Venice is renowned for the beauty of its setting, its architecture, and its artwork.The city in its entirety is listed as a World Heritage Site, along with its lagoon.
Venice is the capital of the Veneto region.

LUCERNE – VENICE
Traverse the Alps into Italy via the scenic St. Gotthard route and catch a glimpse of Lake Como. Skirt the sprawling commercial capital, Milan, arriving later in the region of Venice, a historically wealthy city built across 118 islands in a marshy lagoon.
VENICE ORIENTATION – FLORENCE
Cruise by private launch to St. Mark's Square and see the sumptuous Doge's Palace and St. Mark's Basilica. Watch the Venetian craftsmen at work creating local specialities at a glassblowing workshop. Afterwards, you might like to take an optional experience to Burano Island for a delightful lunch. Cross the Apennine Mountains, arriving later in Florence, birthplace of the Renaissance.

Personal Comments: I didn't see any of the grey notes that I typically associate with a taupe. I would call this more of a bronze with a silver highlight. Applied over bare skin. This picture was taken outside in natural light.

Highlights:

KUCHING: The state-level Maulidur Rasul assembly and procession saw 128 contingents with 5,000 participants.
An annual event to celebrate the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, yesterday’s event saw participants, food vendors and the general public turning up as early as 6.30am at Celebration Square, Jalan Stadium.
The celebration themed ‘Kesatuan Ummah Kesejateraan Negara’, included nasyid performances, ‘marhaban’ and Quranic verses reading before the highlight – the procession by the various contingents.
The contingent participants attired in traditional ethnic costumes, colourful baju kurung and baju Melayu and corporate uniforms, carrying or pushing wheeled banners, ‘bunga mangga’, while others had more elaborate designs, some on wheels.
It was graced by the Acting Head of State Tan Sri Datuk Amar Bujang Nor and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.
Abang Johari’s wife Datin Patinggi Dato Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, State secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Morshidi Abdul Ghani; Works Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusuf; Welfare, Community Well Being, Women, Family, and Childhood Development Minister Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah and Assistant Minister of Rural Electricity Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi were also present at the event. El Faro de Avilés, también llamado Faro de San Juan, está situado en la margen oriental de la entrada de la ría de Avilés, en la localidad asturiana de San Juan de Nieva en Gozón, en el Principado de Asturias, (España), en la llamada Punta del Castillo.
Entró en funcionamiento en el año 1863 y fue electrificado en 1927.
Tiene una altura de 40 metros sobre el nivel del mar y 15 metros sobre el terreno.
Su alcance es de 20 millas marinas.
La torre es troncopiramidal y se encuentra adosada a la cara norte del edificio.
Sus coordenadas son: 43°35′45″N 5°56′45″O / 43.59583, -5.94583
En las proximidades del emplazamiento del actual faro se encontraba una batería de artillería para defensa de la ría de los ataques de corsarios ingleses. En una incursión de éstos, los cañones fueron arrojados al agua. Parte del material de la batería se utilizó en la construcción del faro.
